Christians follow the moral code for that reason and also out of gratitude for what God has done for them in Jesus Christ. Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.…

Jesus also gave a rule of conduct which is applicable in all lands and in all ages, namely: "Whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them; for this is the law and the prophets." (Matthew 7:12). Because of its great value this has often been called the "Golden Rule". This perfect and complete principle does not forbid doing wrong to others, rather it encourages doing all the good to others that we would like them to do to us.…

In Zoroastrianism the afterlife is determined by the balance of good and evil, thoughts, deeds, and words throughout ones life. If the good outweighs the evil, heaven awaits. If the evil outweighs the good, you go to hell. Although there is also a middle for those whose good and evil were equal. In Islam, Muslims believe mankind will be judged on their good and bad deeds and consigned to Jannah (paradise) or Jahannam (hell), similarly to Zoroastrianism. In Christianity…

What happens after death has been a debated and documented topic dating back to shortly after the death of Jesus Christ. It is basically impossible to get certain evidence to back up beliefs. We are forced to rely on religious material and theologians to paint a picture for us. Even then it is hard to truly grasp what happens after death. It is proposed that you either go to heaven, or you go to hell. What do we actually know of the latter? The general consensus of society is that hell is a place full of demons and is controlled by Satan. The belief and understanding of hell has changed drastically since its first understanding. What do the Bible and theologians say about hell?…

There are many different viewpoints around the world when it comes to salvation and what it is supposed to represent. For example, the viewpoint of Thomas F. Torrance who was a Scottish Protestant theologian. "Thomas F. Torrance both believed in the possibility of universal salvation, they also rejected the idea that we could make a final determination about this possibility prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Torrance expressly believed in the 'universality of Christ's saving work' but rejected 'universalism' and any idea of 'limited atonement'. He considered both of these views to be rationalistic approaches which ignore the need for eschatological reserve when thinking about what happens at the end when Christ comes again and consequently…
