The Adventures of Odysseus
Odysseus was a son of a king called Laertes who wanted Odysseus to fall in love with the daughter of Tynclareus but Odysseus fall in love with Penelope and as the year went by Odysseus and Penelope had a son. Then Odysseus left to start his adventure; so first he made it to troy island that where there was a war and Odysseus with his men’s fought against the other men’s in war for about 10 years but then Odysseus and men’s thought of a plan to final win the war;so what they did was they build a fake horse and also went to the other men’s headquarters and said we give up. However it was not the other men’s thought it was over because it was only about a few of them that went to go said that they give up but everyone was in the fake horse that they build and as soon they got in the headquarter …show more content…
So after that Odysseus and his crew landed on this island called cironce and then they approach the king to tell him what they went through afterward Odysseus talk to everyone else. Then afterward Odysseus and his men’s left that island then they made it to another island where they ate these flowers that were called lotus flowers that made them forget about going home but since Odysseus was able to force then his gathered his men’s forces them on the ship,he also tie all of his men’s down.Afterward Odysseus and his men’s landed on another island where a cyclopes lived but they didn’t know at the time and they ate cyclops food.However the cyclops see them and gets mad afterward the cyclops trapped them in the cave ate both Odysseus men’s but the Odysseus with his other’s trick the cyclopes and drunk him to sleep. Than Odysseuse with his men’s sharpen a big stick and point the cyclope eye. Then Odysseus,his men’s go to another island of the winds were; They split up and go looking for something to eat but Odysseus see the sea say to poseidon you can not stop me and then he meet his cousin how control the winds and

    Tiresias is the man that Odysseus came to Hades to speak to. Circe tells Odysseus that he must first speak to Tiresias before he can go home. The first prophecy that Tiresias makes is that Odysseus will have his journey made difficult by the god that shakes the earth because he blinded his son, the Cyclops. The god that shakes the earth, Poseidon, is the god of the sea in ancient Greek mythology. When Odysseus was in the land of the Cyclops, he blinded Polyphemus, the son of Poseidon. At first Odysseus told Polyphemus that his name was nobody, but after successfully escaping the Cyclops’ cave, Odysseus’ hubris overcame him and he told the Cyclops his real name. This proved to be a terrible mistake when Polyphemus begs his father Poseidon to revenge his blindness. The next prediction that the prophet makes is that Odysseus and his men must not harm the cattle of the sun or their ship will be destroyed and his men will be destroyed as well. This foreshadows Odysseus’ trip to the island of Helios, the god of the sun. In this adventure, Odysseus and his men arrive at the island and at first are able to curb the urge to feast upon the forbidden cattle.
