Jorn Utzon was a Danish architect in the 19th century.

This also meant that the tiles did not have to be placed on the concrete one at a time. Utzon knew that he wanted to create a white effect for the Sydney Opera House. He was aware that the hot Australian sun would create a glare. To avoid the glare Utzon created a unique tile.
The tile was two layered. The first tile was a white clay covered with a fine mesh and then fired.
The second layer was made up of finely crushed stone, this gave the tile a grainy effect, this technique avoided the glare. It took three years of consultation with Swedish tilers to design the tile that was needed to get the effect Utzon wanted.
To create a vertical appearance Utzon used a range of colours on the grouting of the tiles. He then created a horizontal effect by laying the concrete in a V shape.
Utzon knew that the laying concrete like this will provide strength to the building. the Lotus Temple in India, designed by Fariborz

It is the busiest Performing Arts Centre and presents more than 2000 shows every year. The Sydney Opera House attracts artists from all over the world. As well as performing artists it also the home of many art exhibitions. And the whey Utzon has designed the Opera House is very unique and shows people that anything can be achieved.
