I’m Not Crazy, I Promise
When we made eye contact, my blood ran cold and my heart was thumping fast, as if it could burst right through my rib cage at any second. Fear overcame me and my instincts kicked in, flight. I ran as fast as my long legs could take me, being thankful that I was a good runner. I never lost sight of the man until I reached my front porch. Fumbling to get the door unlocked with shaky hands and uneven fast breaths, I rushed inside, throwing my stuff off to the side while quickly locking the door. This was the worst day to be home alone, seeing as though my parents were at work, my little sister was at a friend’s house and they wouldn’t be home ‘til dinner. After making sure the windows were locked and all of the entry ways were secure, I plop down on the couch and squeeze my eyes shut, trying to forget the man’s terrifying appearance. The tall older man with a crooked smile and twisted posture, smiling at me with dead eyes and gray skin, tried to come after me while I was wandering in the forest by my house. I, admiring the beauty around me, took in as much as my senses could handle, before the construction workers would cut it down to extend our neighborhood further. I noticed him, staggering after me, speech slurred and unintelligible, tripping over dodgeable twigs and rocks. I open my eyes and run my fingers through my semilongish hair not being able to get his gruesome image out of my thoughts.
Convincing myself it was all just in my head was no use. Even splashing ice cold water on my face and watching T.V. didn’t help either. With my anxiety still high from the bursts of adrenaline I experienced, I couldn’t stomach down any food whatsoever. Tears were threatening to spill from my eyes due to my frustration and ongoing fear and paranoia. I called my mom, explaining to her what happened, while clutching the phone tightly in my nimble handsies.

Story-story” is a circle game for all ages. The group of performers sit and a moderator (us) stands in the middle and provides a setting for the story. Then we point to a person in the circle and they begin telling a story (says 2 sentences). After the first storyteller has described the beginning of the story, the moderator points to another person, the story continues on; the new person picks up from the last word and tries to continue the narrative. Every performer should get several turns to add to the story. Usually the moderator suggests when the story comes to a conclusion; however, more advanced performers will be able to conclude their story on their own.Story-story” is a circle game for all ages. One day, I was going to the gym with my friend and we were riding bicycles. Three blocks away from the gym, there were 4 big African American guys were standing and they were looking at us. We were just slowly riding our bicycle on the side walk and then those 4 guys came up to us and blocked our way. There were no people on the street except us. I knew why they stopped us, because my friend and I had an expensive headphones on our neck and they were looking at our headphones. One of the guy said “Why did you take my brother's headphones?” then I said “ I don't know what you are talking about and I don't even know your brother, these are our headphones.” then he was quite for a second and his other friend pulled out his knife and said “ Look! If you don't give us your headphones now otherwise it's going to be bad for you”. After he showed his knife our heart started beating fast. We were so freaked out, I almost wet myself when I saw the knife. My friend looked at me and I looked at him. We knew what to do, we slowly got off our bicycles and we slowly put the bicycles down. We took our headphones off from our neck and we looked back and started running. We left our bicycles, because our headphones costs a lot more than those bicycles, so we thought that leaving the bicycles were good idea. Unfortunately, those guys caught us and when they were trying to get our headphones from our hands, something happened, that I never forget, from nowhere undercover police officers showed up in seconds. Big white van stopped next to me and more cops jumped off from the van. They arrested those guys. It was like the movies, I still can't forget that. Cops told us that, they have been watching those guys, because they did some crimes in the past. We thanked NYPD for saving our lives. If, they weren't there, I don't know what would have happened to us. After that, me and my friend went to the court…
