Honeycomb
Honeycomb 3.0, spark in the tablet scene.
Abstract:
When many industries were trying to change the tablet market with their operating system, many industries including Apple and Windows came with some good tablet operating systems. But, it was Google with its Android 3.0 Honeycomb, which changed the entire scene of the market. For this research, Android 3.0 Honeycomb and the devices that used this operating systems were taken as the main source to carry out the research. It was found that with the new development on the previous Android versions, the developers had made this as an outstanding operating system for tablets. While Android have been producing challenging products to conquer the relative market, they have come up with Android 3.0 Honeycomb which has indeed managed to change the entire tablet market, being a spark in the tablet scene.
Introduction:
For the past few years, even though a tablet wasn’t such a huge thing, still windows based tablets were dominating this field. Then Apple brought out the iPad with its unique Apple iOS and somehow tried to change the tablet field but they were unable to do so because of the limited functions. Then Android, an open source operating system, came out with different version of its operating system software, which matched as well as gave a perfect challenge to Apple. But still this operating system was limited and had many bugs while running it on a tablet. Android, not wanting to disappoint the consumers, they took the feedback nicely and now have entirely changed the tablet scene by introducing Android 3.0 Honeycomb which is especially designed for a tablet and is one of the best and quite smooth running operating system for tablets. Even though there is a higher version of Android OS which is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the developers have said that Honeycomb was especially designed for the tablets whereas ICS 4.0 was mostly for advanced smart phones. The developers of Android have never left their

#1. AES’ organizational structure can best be classified as a non-bureaucratic, flat organization structure with the key goal of empowerment of individuals to run their respective areas for the common good of the whole organization. The honeycomb design described in the case evidences a variety of pods or families with a team leader where each family of 10 to 20 individuals work on specific functions in a plant. For example, beneath the plant manager you have a number of functions such as the control room family, turbine family, service family, etc, all effectively performing the various operations required for the plant to operate. The plant manager reports directly to the CEO. Hence, AES has approximately 3 levels in the organization from entry level to CEO making it very flat.…

By launching IPAD, in January 2010, and releasing it into the market in April, Apple introduced a potential new product category in computers which is likely to change the way consumers interact with their devices. IPAD was able to meet a changing consumer need which saw them preferring to ‘swipe a finger across a touch screen’ instead of using a keyboard. More than 15 million units were sold in the first year alone. In a move which surprised many market watchers, Apple launched IPAD2, in March 2011, slightly more than a year after the first IPAD was released onto the market. Surprisingly!, because many marketers would have thought that IPAD1 had not yet gone through its full product life cycle. However, this move by Apple is in response to the changing competitive environment which has seen growth in the interest of tablet computers from competitors. Analysts predict the computer tablet market to treble in size in 2012. By launching IPAD2, Apple has left competitors playing ‘catch up’ in a growing segment with consumers hungry for new products. There are a dozen or more competitors with rival tablets to IPAD2 likely to be launched in 2011 from competitors like Microsoft and Toshiba.…

There are ways to make tablet better than the phone because the tablet have books that are easier to read in than phone. The phones models improve with bigger screens like the iPhones. The bigger screens of the phones make more people buy them, so they can read better. Tablet has a brightness option to make the screen easier to read from in some places that are dark. The glass that I like on the screen for tablet is the Gorilla glass. The Gorilla glass strengthens the resistance of the glass, so it doesn’t break easily, allows very light screens to last longer on tablets, and is very popular to the world. The tablet that I want is a screen with a size of 18 inches. Twelve screen tablets are great because they allow multiple apps to run at the same time and handle lots of tasks like a computer does. One of the tablets that has a screen size of 18 inches is Samsung Galaxy View. The tablet is very nice to watch videos from, read from, and look at the Internet sources. The speakers are high-quality with the ability to hear the sound from anywhere near the…
