Honesty Is a Best Policy

But all this is for a short time. Honesty is courageous, dishonesty is a coward. Honesty is bound to shine after the night of dishonesty. There is no place for dishonest people on the earth. They lose the battle in the end. An honest person only can win a place in the hearts of people. Double-faced men get temporary response but they are thrown out of people's hearts. Dishonesty cannot face the reality. It has to say hundred lies to hide one act of dishonesty. Therefore honesty is the best policy. Honesty truly is the best policy. It means that honesty was an important trait even several centuries ago. Benjamin Franklin wrote Poor Richard's Almanack, which consisted of wise aphorisms, or sayings. "Honesty is the best policy" is one of his sayings that is universally recognized and encouraged. This phrase signifies the importance of being a moral and truthful person Honesty is an important and admirable characteristic that a person can have. I agree with the statement honesty is the best policy. Everyone, to succeed in his or her life, should follow it. Though we can make money by improper ways, it would not give us good status in society. I believe that honesty is important for both personal life and business life. As we go through the history of the great leaders, they all succeed in their life mainly by their life style. They all followed the truth and honesty. Honesty is very important in many aspects of our life. If we are honest, everyone will believe us.

To lie or not to lie? We are often faced with this question when stuck in sticky situations. It seems as if lying is our second nature, and that is not a good thing. In the articles “Brad Blanton: Honestly Tell The Truth” by Barbara Ballinger and “Teens Do Their Share of Lying” by Loretta Ragsdell, the authors discuss lying and argue its’ justifiability. I agree with the concept that lying is never acceptable because it is morally wrong.…

Lies are told around the world multiple times during the day. Everyone sitting in this room has probably once today, said a lie. Sometimes lying is understandable for someone’s protection but sometimes the truth is essential to the person. There are multiple things people say in a day that are seen as lies such as “That outfit looks really good on you!,” “It wasn’t me!” and “I’ll be with you in a few minutes.” Honestly is not always the best policy because in the end it does not make everything better. People tell little lies so that they protect someone they care about and not hurt the feelings of another person. Honesty not always being the best policy is showed in The Scarlet Letter, “Tell All The Truth” poem, the “He Lies” video,…

    1. Sacramento State University has a strict Academic Honesty policy, which requires students to adhere to a set of guidelines when doing homework or writing an essay for any class at the University. As a student, the responsibility of following this policy is major when testing, writing, or any other homework for a class at the University. The student is responsible for all of his/her work, and making sure there is no dishonest behavior or plagiarism present when doing the work. An example of a violation would be logging on a computer, going to a site such as USAToday.com, finding an article, copying the article text word-for-word, and including that same text in your paper or essay. The opposite of that scenario would be simply complying with the policy. That would involve researching a topic, again logging onto a computer, and going to a website such as USAToday.com. After you find an article for your paper, instead of just copying the article text word-for-word, a summary would be a way to start. Once you summarize the article, break the text down in your own words, and take the vital information from the article, without plagiarizing.…
