Please choose 2 essays. Each essay is worth 35 points. Each essay should have an introduction and conclusion and should be at least 2-4 pages in length but not more than 10 pages. If you use any sources or quotes make sure to cite it properly. You can use the text, your notes & other legitimate historical sources to provide data for your essays. In a well thought out essay:

1) During World War II, America fought a 2 front war in the Pacific and in Europe. Compare and contrast these two different fronts. Make sure to describe the differences and similarities. Look at the different Axis powers, strategies, battles (both land, air & sea), and the weapons used and combat leadership.

2) At the conclusion of World War II, the public was allowed to see the massive amounts of human suffering that had been inflicted on the world by the Axis powers. From Europe to Asia, millions upon millions of non-combatants lay dead. Describe the Allied response to this wanton murder and brutality. How did the Allies deal with war crimes? In your opinion was their response strong enough? (Make sure to back up your opinion with facts)

3) In a well-written, thoughtful essay, look at the major American conflicts since 1950: The Korean Conflict, The Vietnam Conflict, & the 1st & 2nd Gulf Wars. Look at how these wars were waged,
