High School Jacket Narrative
I threw my books on the bed and approached the jacket slowly, as if it were a long lost brother who I had been dreaming about meeting. I touched the smooth leather sleeve, the popped collar, and stared at the brown leather lining in disbelief. My mom’s voice echos through the house, “Your jackets in the closet” My heart sinks as my mother’s words process in my brain and as I slowly walk to the closet where soon I’ll find the jacket that actually belongs to me. I rummaged through the small space hoping that there is not another jacket to be seen and luckily, there wasn’t.
