Hebrews 12: A Personal Analysis
I have faced trials and tribulations but I would like to think that I am stronger because of them. God blessed us with the gift of life and oversaw each moment of our past, including all the pain, hardship, and struggle. He plans to use our experience in a unique way because no one has our voice and no one else shares our story. This idea is particularly prevalent in Hebrews 12. The word teaches us that as a sign of His love, He disciplines us. He takes us through hardship to build certain characteristics that could not be formed from other circumstances. It would be so much easier to harbor resentment towards people that have hurt me but I have chosen to learn from my experiences and grow as a person. As author Charles R. Swindoll once said,
