The Hazards Of Movie Going I am a fan of movies and I love to watch movies. I suppose everyone loves to watch movies. Whenever my friends want to ask me something about a movie they come to me. I am a fanatic. The problem here is that I don’t like going to a movie theatre. I like watching movies but I prefer watching them at home. The main problem is getting to the theatre. There are mainly three reasons why I don’t like going to the movie theatre. Firstly, I cannot drive to the theatre in a bad weather; I don’t like watching movies when there is a thunderstorm outside. Secondly, there is no theatre near to my house and I cannot take stand long drives. I get tired sitting in the car for a long time. Lastly, the lines to buy the tickets are really long and take a lot of time. Once you have made it inside the box office and got your tickets. If you are in one of the run down older theatres then it is usually smelly and not really clean. The stairs are sometimes squeaky. The seats that are there, its leather is cracked and the plush is not enough. If you are in a new theatre, then there are different problems. The seats are small. The walls are not really thick and you can hear the noise from the other theatre. Theatre floors are the grossest thing ever. They are made of rubber like structure. They are never clean and the floor is often sticky. If I get adjusted to the environment of the theatre, the next problems are the patrons. There are usually so many annoying and irritating people. When I am ready to watch the movie, suddenly a tall person sits in front of me. People make so many noises they start whistling, talking loudly and they shout sometimes. Some people bring their babies in the theatre and they just don’t stop crying. People cough, sneeze so loudly and disturb everyone in the theatre. Many adults think that they are in their own living room and they comment on every single thing. It was

Imagine this following scene: You are sitting in a dark, fairly crowded large room. There are hundreds of other people, in hundreds of other seats surrounding you. In front of you, there is a large stage, with people acting out a play. Lights, music, and different sound effects set the mood of the play in order to understand more clearly what is going on. With these certain conventions, the audience can get a true grasp of a story which several actors are trying to portray. However, it hasn’t always been this easy to enjoy a play in a theater. Theatre and plays go back as far as “B.C.” times.…

Being at the movie theaters can be a waste of your time, depending on what time you go. The best time to go to the theaters would be the mornings. Not many people can wake up at 9 a.m. just to go see a movie. Waking up early still will not make your movie experience as you would like it to be. You still have to think about different scenarios prior on going to see a movie. These are a few that would cross your mind: is the movie theater going to be busy, would I be able to get my tickets, or would I have a decent seat in the theater. There are many other scenarios that can occur while making a long trip to the movie theater.…

First of all, just getting to the theater presents difficulties. Leaving a home equipped with a TV and a video recorder isn't an attractive idea on a humid, cold, or rainy night. Even if the weather cooperates, there is still a thirty-minute drive to the theater down a congested highway, followed by the hassle of looking for a parking space. And then there are the lines. After hooking yourself to the end of a human chain, you worry about whether there will be enough tickets, whether you will get seats together, and whether many people will sneak into the line ahead of you.…

The couch or bed, versus the cinema seats at the theatre, make watching a movie at home far more comfortable than going to the theatre. A couch just has that calming effect that one would want when watching a movie. When he or she is at home they can sit on his or her couch with blankets and pillows, something that is not offered at a theatre. Another great thing about being at home versus going to a theatre is appearance. If someone is going to the movies, he or she tends to go with a group of friends and therefore has to dress up or at least look presentable. On the other hand, if that same person is at home watching the movie, he or she can be in the comfort of sweatpants and doesn’t have to worry about makeup or dressing up. That ease makes watching the movie at home a better experience than going to a theatre.…
