Since the two are very different, I will tell you 3 differences and similarities that I noticed. One difference was Mr. Shuan, an important character, wasn’t even in the movie! He had killed Ransom and that helped Davie escape. Another difference is that Ransom didn’t die in the movie, or at least not the original way. We saw him on the boat before it blew up in the movie, in the book he died in the hull. My last difference is that The Long Mile Gang didn’t exist in the book. Some evidence that proves the flick wasn’t crazy wrong were (1) Alan did wear a blue coat…

Movies and books are always different; in a movie you can show multiple characters, and in most books you're stuck in one character's narrative. For instance in the book The Giver the character Fiona doesn’t care about Jonas as deeply as she does in the movie. In the movie she stops her injections, and she starts to love Jonas. However in the book she only “enjoys having Jonas’s company”. In the movie she also helps Jonas steal Gabe before he is killed, and she is put in the community jail for helping him. Before she is going to be released she talks about how she has felt things. That she knows what it is like to truly feel, and in the book she isn’t this unorthodox.…

When it comes to either watching movies or reading books the latter is, by far, the better option. In countless situations books have been made into movies but in each instance the book prevails. There are many reasons for this but the strongest factor is imagination.…

Book vs. Movie Some people say that the movie is better than the book but is it really? In this argument I will discuss how the book is better than the movie. In this case the book “The Lightning Thief” is better than the movie because the book includes all fun and exciting scenes that help and make you use your imagination a lot more than the movie itself. The movie excludes characters that are important and some that are but, either way characters make the movie happen so they should be included they also make a better scenery.…

Some differences are through the whole book Thomas has very little memory of what his life was before he was put into the maze. In the movie he starts to remember things a whole lot faster, almost as soon as the movie starts where that's not what happens in the book. I like the book…

Honestly, movies are easier at trying figure out their theme then books. For books, you need to use more auditory focus to find the theme, but when watching a movie you need equal amount of visual and auditory to truly see the theme of that particular movie. Books take more time then movies, but they go more in depth. It adds more details and ideas to theme of a book then someone watching a movie. Honestly I prefer movies only for enjoyment and books for figuring out the structure that the author had put the time into for the reader to…

A long time has passed since the idea that “The book is better than the movie” was accepted without question. Most of the time, if the movies follow an original script and there is no book version to compare it to, it is most likely to be seen as a great piece of work. However, when a film is present to be compared against a novel, it is inevitably not as great as the original work. There is also a limitation on films due to their format. A three-hour film is considered extremely long and lengthy, and most directors and filmmakers generally try and cut crop and edit out unnecessary and uneventful parts of a certain book to fit a golden rule of thumb that allows for movies to be about two hours long. Because a book adaptation is meant to tell the gist of the story, it is usually concentrated on making it possible to grasp the overall plot in one sitting.…

More examples of the book and the movie being the same would be the characters and how the main character Cassie narrated. A book gives more details then a movie does. There were a lot more differences in Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry then sames. An example would be that Lillian Jean and Jeremy in the book were a Simms but in the movie they were a Wallace. Another…

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Screenplay is a fantastic book in my opinion because, since it is in a script form, it is very easy to direct in your head. The great detail in the story that J.K. Rowling executes perfectly creates not only a good story, but a whole new world. The characters are very lovable and believable and dives deep into their emotions and feelings. However, one of my main problems with the book is that we don’t learn much about the characters. In the story, we are shown a small fraction of Newt’s early life, a glimpse of Tina’s past, and not much about Jacob other than his job and motivation. Although it doesn’t affect the story much, it would be preferable to learn more about them so that the readers…

The first film adaption was released in 2001 with the first book in mind, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. The film and adaptation was such a success that seven more movies were filmed, the last one being released in 2011. All films were such a success that the latest book had to filmed in two parts. Both were as successful bringing many people to midnight showings and being top movie for weeks after being released. The movies gave fans the opportunity to vision what they had been imagining for so long while reading the books. Everything from characters, to places to the story line was perfectly adapted and created in such a way that gave the public another reason to love and become a fan of the world of Harry…

The Harry Potter series is arguably the most successful work of literature in the postmodern era (in terms of financial success and mainstream pop culture recognition). To talk about the movies, one has to include the books on which it has been based. Also, the movies do not include the details of the plot- it represents the series of events and are time-bound.…
