Hare Monologue
Hare’s Revenge
Hi I’m Tortoise you might know about the Tortoise and the Hare. Well that story was about me except now I’m a world champion. I have raced in France, Australia, Germany and the Olympics. I usually win because of luck but through training I have become way better (tortoise was a little full of himself but did not realize). Oh, I forgot to tell you but now I’m in the most famous race it’s called the, actually I will just leave you to see what it is called.
I was in the Olympics and was racing against Usain Colt. He was the fastest runner so he thought. Usain Colt was actually really slow, the fastest runner was Usain Bolt. The race was tight till the end. Usain Bolt lost his traction with his shoes and fell. Everybody was in shock. That was the final. I was pronounced winner. It was like one of those movies where the person you think was going to win fell right before the line. The second place and the third place winners were also from the US. Their names were Jonathan Wolf and Larry Caterpillar. The only reason Larry came in third was because he was so small everybody thought they were beating him. He came up to me and said he wanted a rematch, I was speechless. I did not know what to say so I just said the first words that came to mind let’s do this. We built up a crowd and said that there is a rematch. I said 3… 2... 1… GO! Off we went. I went off and had a big lead so I decided to hang out with one of my friends. I went to my favorite friend Johnny Pepsin we have been best friends since kindergarten. We played on his play station and and goofed around we broke one of his lamps. Then I looked up. There was Hare coming back I ran out the door and tried to catch up. I was too late he beat me I felt ashamed. I apologized to Hare underestimating his ability. He said it was ok and I said I will buy us lunch and have some fun. We went out to
