Happy Homes
I am sending an attachment.

Its my request to read with patience.

A person by name Mr. Laxmaiah is a teacher, working in Zilla Parishad School in a village called Karepally, near Khammam in Andhra Pradesh. Laxmaiah garu stays with wife, mother, two kids, and with 50 HIV orphaned children.

He is spending all his salary of Rs 25,000 /- per month by taking care of these HIV affected orphaned children. His wife Kalpana Rani, an Aeronautical Engineer, sacrificed her career and is doing a tremendous service to these children by cooking, feeding, sending the children to schools & taking care of their medical needs. I suggested her that if she goes for a job and earn something, that amount at least can be spent for their own children & their future. Surprisingly, she told that no one is coming forward to render service even if they offered a monthly salary due to deep rooted bias towards HIV affliction.

They are not getting any type of help, either financially or materlistically except Mr. Laxmiah’s Salary. In this pitiable condition, his wife and his Mother are offering unconditional and selfless service to the orphaned HIV affected children.

I have personally visited their place in Khamman with my Brother-In-Law from Hyderabad.

After seeing the situation there was which was extremely pitiable, and heart breaking, unknowingly my eye lids were wet with tears..

Laxmaiah garu, aged well below 40 years and his family is rendering selfless service to the orphaned HIV affected children singlehandedly without caring for their future, which is very noble.

Only medicines are provided free of cost by the Govt. to these children and providing two simple meals a day has become a huge burden financially to Mr. Laxmaiah garu & his family. Also, taking these children for periodic medical checkup and medication to nearby Govt. Hospital has become very difficult.

In view of the above, I wish to share the following with you and would appreciate and welcome

What is the purpose of volunteering and people offering their time and effort if all poverty is reliant on is money? There is more than one way to tackle a crisis to get the preferred end result. In The Singer Solution to World Poverty, bioethicist Peter Singer argues that “whatever money you spend on luxuries, not necessities, should be given away” to aid poverty. Although what Singer poses as a solution is an effective start to the situation at the hand, it is not the only way. While monetary charity helps, it does not cure the root causes of poverty. Therefore it is not necessary for people to give up all of their excess funds because we could also help through volunteering, donating supplies and physical items, and encouraging personal development.…

Therefore, parents need to be educated and made aware of the diet needed for their children in order for them to stay healthy and avoid getting these disorders. They should be educated on basic measures to prevent and treat conditions like diarrhoea, vomiting and worm infestation which sometimes triggers malnutrition. They should be taught of the different food supplements; how much nutrients and vitamins their children should be taking each day by referring to the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) and also try to grow nutritious foods (beans, soya, maize, nuts) in their gardens in order to gain easier access to these necessary foods. Volunteers from all over the world; such as dieticians, doctors or any other professional with expert knowledge worldwide; would travel to the designated areas and gather everyone together to educate the whole village. If there are schools available in the area with empty classrooms and chairs, the classes could be held there. Pamphlets and other crucial information would be handed out those parents who attend the classes. Funding would be received by means of donations from UNICEF or any Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) willing to…
