Hamlet Horatio Analysis
In the play Hamlet Horatio is a noble man who makes an impact on the play. He is the one who tells Hamlets about the ghost and the one who will tell his story. Horatio is the closest friend to hamlet that he can trust. Horatio parts in the play serve two main reasons to tell Hamlet’s great story and to serve as the great friend of Hamlet. One critic states “Throughout the play, Horatio seems "just": he is fair, equitable, and reasonable”. This can explain that he is unruffled, composed, and practical; Horatio is the representation of reliability The readers can value the relationship of Hamlet and Horatio as well as Hamlet values their friendship he values him as a friend. The relationship between them both is probably the only real one in the play, Hamlet respects Horatio because Horatio is loyal to him, by evaluating Horatio’s relationship with Hamlet we as well as evaluate Hamlet’s choices from Horatio’s perception, we can learn a lot about Hamlet as a character and appreciate more fully the tragedy. Daniel has the experience because he is accustomed to the character Horatio, he has played parts just like it and he is just the right actor who could bring a natural assurance and captivation that would make anyone believe him even if he’s telling you that he has seen the ghost of your dead father. Daniel is a very accomplish he wrote and stared in his own film and is quoted as being a “must view for independent film makers”.     I believe that out of all the characters in William Shakespeare 's Hamlet, Horatio, has the most potential. What I mean by potential is that Horatio would make the best real person if he were not a character within the play. Besides Horatio, every other character seems to have some kind of major flaw or weakness in comparison. Claudius is obviously power hungry and only concerned with himself. Gertrude, although means well, is portrayed as betraying King Hamlet by sleeping with Claudius. Polonius is sneaky and likes to speak on everything he hears. Laertes strikes Hamlet and winds up killing him with poison. Ophelia is so dependent on her father that she goes into a disarray and eventually kills herself. And Hamlet, who is second to Horatio in terms of potential, hurts himself by seeking revenge and killing unarmed Polonius for no real reason. Horatio proves to be the most likable character because he sticks by Hamlets side the entire story, and offers advice and companionship, rather than obsessing about his own well-being.…
