Welcome to the website of Gustin, Cothern & Tucker Inc. We are a Veteran owned, full service professional civil engineering and surveying firm established in 1987 when a branch office spun off from a more established business. When we outgrew our original office in Valparaiso, we moved to Niceville in 1990. Our office building was physically expanded in 1998 to accommodate further growth of the business.

Although we are located in the panhandle of Florida, we offer our services nation-wide and are licensed in multiple states. Additionally, our staff includes both a Certified Federal Surveyor and a Certified Hydrographer. Water issues introduce special challenges to a project. We

It involves using specialized equipment to take readings from a set of satellites. The more satellites involved in a particular reading, the more accurate the positioning. Getting accurate positions can be time consuming and very involved, but it yields a level of accuracy not possible with older methods of defining boundaries. Historically, creeks or rivers often defined a boundary. This is problematic because creeks and rivers meander. In other words, they do not stay put.
