Guardian Angel Narrative
Guardian Angel
My gut instincts told me to check on him, I was right.
It was a extremely hot day for early June, my head ached as if I had a hammer continuously banging on my skull, and it felt like I had just spun around in a bunch of circles with the ground moving. This concussion, the one that was causing all of this, was getting on my last nerve, I was so sick and tired of all the pain. I put my hand up to my face and it felt hot to touch, I could feel little drips of sweat run down my neck as I dragged myself through the thick green grass that was dewy from the previous chilly, summer night. The color on my face was flushed with a pink rose color that made me look like I had run a marathon and the air felt dry as I gulped in big breaths

The expression on his face changed from a relieved expression to a saddened one and he nodded his head indicating I could call. Before I could pick up the phone he said, “Maura, I want you to know that I am so proud of the girl you have become and whatever happens you need to remember that.” I smiled and nodded my head before turning around and picking up the phone.
Finally, I was able to call 9-1-1 and a few ambulances came immediately all agreeing that he was seriously ill from malnutrition, deciding they would need to take him to the hospital. The frantic events did not help with my concussion but the adrenaline that kept me going erased the pain and I was able to take care of him. I was able to take care of my best friend.
Later on, in his hospital room when everyone had arrived, he thanked me and said he might not have made it if I hadn’t decided to check on him and called me his Guardian Angel.
Even though this was a stressful and hard thing to get through, I can’t help but be grateful that this event made me realize that when things get tough I don’t give up and I don’t fall

In the book Killer Angels by Michael Shaara, he analyzes the roles of two important men in Civil War history. One is Robert E. Lee, the commander of the Confederate army, and the other is James Longstreet, a Confederate general. Both men play key parts in the battle of Gettysburg and their choices help direct the course of the whole war, both in their favor and against. At that moment, he stopped and looked at me. He stared right though and even beyond me, leaned closer, and whispered that if he was ever to recover from his current condition, he would become a surgeon so that he could give people another chance. With that, he turned away and ambled towards his bed. I offered to help him get into the bed, but he rejected the offer while thanking me.…

Today is September 20, 2030. I woke up in this strange and desolate place. The last thing I remembered before waking up was seeing my husband, Anthony, and my son, Angel. We were boarding a spaceship to the moon, the last spaceship, because Earth is no longer suitable for life. I heard the moon was wonderful and full of life, well at least that is what the government says, unlike Earth which is now dead and looks like a giant dumpster.…

I flew off the jump got about 15 feet of air and landed on the other side of the railroad tracks. When I landed however my front tire hit a large rock and sent me and the bike into cartwheels. As I was tumbling in the air, I could hear my bike crashing and smashing against the rocks, just as I noticed my bike my head landed directly on top of another large rock and I heard a snap. My back felt like it was on fire from being twisted like a pretzel. My nose I could feel was swollen to about twice its normal size. As I reached up to feel my nose, I felt that my entire face was covered with blood. I reached up to wipe my eyes so that I could see what had happened and my hands felt more blood. I thought that I was nauseated by the fact that there was so much blood but it was due to the blood pouring into my mouth from my twisted and probably broken nose. I tried to stand up but immediately fell back down in pain and began to scream for help.…

People say that you should live in the moment. They say that life isn’t measured by the amounts of breaths we take, but by the moments that takes our breath away. The first time you hear those sayings, they probably sound like two nice, motivational couple of words, and then you don’t think about it anymore. But if you take a second look, and really think about the meaning about it, they become something so much deeper. And that’s what I experienced this day.…
