Grumpy Gray Monologue
Grumpy Gray
It wasn't one of those “love at first sight” kind of situation. Actually, we were originally going the get leave Lily at her foster home because she was the odd one out of her litter of three, she was the gray kitten of a white litter. “If you take one you take them all,” the foster owner said. It didn't take much to convince us to buy three kittens. At first, my affection was directed towards Daisy, who had loved a small green jingle toy. So Lily had no lap to spread cat hair on. This is most likely when she became so bitter to everyone in the family. Once she noticed she wasn't getting anywhere she tried being friendly to us and that is how we became friends.
With some work, she learned to love me and do tricks like jump, spin, and come. I had decided to put an old build a bear bed in my bed next to my pillow so every night she can sleep right next to me. At first, she was confused but I picked her up and placed her on the bed. She seemed angered by this at first but then her face broke into a slight smile. With her eyes gently closed it looked like she was finally happy. My bed soon became her happy place and I became her chosen human. She only liked me. Me and only me. No exceptions.

I remember making a recording of her purring softly and being so excited that she was purring at all. I also found her weak spot, right on the tip of her chin. All her life her favorite activity was eating. Eating from the bowl, eating from her bed, and most of all, rolling in catnip. We still have no idea why she prefers to do this and eat off of her own back, but she loves it. When the cats get out of an opened door, we call it escaping. Whenever Lily escapes she never wanders too far and she comes back once we call her

    Tituba Monologue

This scene is important to both the text of the play and the film adaptation, and serves similar purposes in both. For example, it signifies the rising action of the film as it includes the first of many false accusations and confessions. In addition to the importance this scene has to the structure of the play, it is also a pivotal scene for both Tituba and Abigail. For Tituba, this scene is her brief rise to power. Her confession ensures the town’s trust in her, making her arguably the most powerful member of Salem. However, Abigail sees not only the power that Tituba gains through her confession, but also the potential that she herself may have to influence the town. In general, this scene conveys the leverage over other members of Salem…

    Everett Gray Monologue

Everett Gray couldn’t tell you the last time he could properly breathe. Even during hockey competitions, there had always been an issue where he couldn’t quite get the amount of air that he really needed to keep going. Sweat would run down his cold skin, as he pulled at the collar of his uniform. His chest would heave, yet all the air seemed to get stuck in his throat, turning into a suffocating lump. He felt his phone vibrating in his pocket, but he refused to make a move to look at the messages being sent.…

    Del-Zek Monologue

I wanted to capture the thoughts and reactions of Del-Zek leading up to his death, which is why it is more like an inner monologue than just an ordinary journal entry. It's not really realistic for Del to write in a book right before being killed but I felt this was a great way to end his character arc as he lets go of his anger and truly accepts the great things in his life, including his teammates, who he has grown to care for, and Xaidan, the love of his life.…

It was a hot afternoon and i was setting by the river thinking when i saw my boy sam running towards me like his behind was on fire. His face looked frightened, so much like his father’s. He said that Mr. Finch and Cal just drove into our yard in those fancy automobiles that costs way too much. My heart started beating so fast but i still had hope. He could be here because they realized Tom was innocent and he was finally coming home to us. When i got to my home, I saw my children playing a game with their marbles. I saw Mr. Finch standing there with a look of sorrow on his face. He looked at me with regret. He didn't have to say anything because i just knew, I just knew he was gone. My knees gave out all of a sudden, I collapsed to the dirt. I wished that the ground would swallow me up. I was not strong for this, i'm still not. I held back my screams that will break out any minute. I have to put a straight face for my kids, i’m all they have now.…

Every day on my way to work I stopped at the corner store to buy a pilon for her and each time that I brought it to her, she would scream my name and with a smile on her face. She explained that one of the reasons she didn't play with the other children was because she has a stutter and sometimes the children made fun of her.…
