Tom Finch Monologue
It was a hot afternoon and i was setting by the river thinking when i saw my boy sam running towards me like his behind was on fire. His face looked frightened, so much like his father’s. He said that Mr. Finch and Cal just drove into our yard in those fancy automobiles that costs way too much. My heart started beating so fast but i still had hope. He could be here because they realized Tom was innocent and he was finally coming home to us. When i got to my home, I saw my children playing a game with their marbles. I saw Mr. Finch standing there with a look of sorrow on his face. He looked at me with regret. He didn't have to say anything because i just knew, I just knew he was gone. My knees gave out all of a sudden, I collapsed to the dirt. I wished that the ground would swallow me up. I was not strong for this, i'm still not. I held back my screams that will break out any minute. I have to put a straight face for my kids, i’m all they have now. …show more content…

Everett Gray couldn’t tell you the last time he could properly breathe. Even during hockey competitions, there had always been an issue where he couldn’t quite get the amount of air that he really needed to keep going. Sweat would run down his cold skin, as he pulled at the collar of his uniform. His chest would heave, yet all the air seemed to get stuck in his throat, turning into a suffocating lump. He felt his phone vibrating in his pocket, but he refused to make a move to look at the messages being sent.…

Atticus Finch shows this by teaching Scout that sometimes, to realize what the actions of an individual is to think about what they could have been exposed to in life. This is how Atticus says to scout when she ask why the actions of people are different for everyone, this quote is Atticus explains it so that Scout can understand, “ until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.” (Lee, pg. 39). Atticus may not show this physically but mainly through the way he speaks to others which is shown through the text, in which the reader would be able to paint a picture in there mind to see…

Once upon a time, there was a small town called Everbloom. In the, dense, green, woods that bordered that town lived a fiery “orphan” girl named Scarlet. The 17 year old had blazing red hair, ash grey eyes and olive skin that, from being in the woods most of her life, faded to relatively pale. She was known to be mysterious, but really she was just like any other anti-social teen. Well, sorta.…

RIP Chloe Henry. I didn't really know her that much. We used to go to school together and even though we were both really young I remember your kindnes. All I hear people say about you is how much you cared about everyone and how nice and sweet you were. It's not fair to anyone to have to go through what happened to you. And it's not fair for any parents to have their child pass away. It's not fair how young you were and how many things you never had a chance to do. When I found out about this it made me feel absolutely terrible and I still do whenever I think about this injustice. We all love you and pray for you. You did nothing to deserve this. It makes me so fucking pissed off this happened I don’t understand how this coud be done. We all…

A lot has happened since the day that I stood on Boo Radley’s porch and looked out into the street. I had finally been able to see the world from his perspective. It was on that day that I truly learned that a person cannot be understood until I stood in their shoes and walked around in them. From that day forward, I vowed that I would one day teach my children the wise words that Atticus Finch had taught me when I was a child. Seventeen years have passed since that day.…

Out of the blue today I received a call from Holden Caulfield, and strange enough I had been just thinking recently how I haven’t talked to Holden in quite some time. I won’t lie I was very excited to hear it was Holden Caulfield on the phone; he is such a nice guy. Holden asked me if I was free to go out to see a movie, I loved the movies so I couldn’t resist. Our movie date was at two thirty, I showed up a little late but he didn’t seem to mind. Holden had bought tickets for us to see the Lunts, which was a marvelous movie! At the end of the first half of the movie, Holden and I went into the lobby where I had seen someone that looked quite familiar. I looked carefully and noticed it was George! George is an old friend of mine that I just adore, but we haven’t caught up in a very…
