Imagine a world without history a thing that helps us not repeat mistakes that had already occurred, philosophy that cause to think out the box and not the same and math that shapes up the world? Thanks to the spreading of Greek we don't need to imagine a world without them. Greece is a civilization that achieved many great things during its time period. My topic is about the spreading of Greek culture and its effects. Greek culture affected the world through Alexander the great, ideas and literature.Alexander the great is important to the spreading of Greek culture in the world because without this man and his beliefs this would have never happened. According to the book Ancient Greece it states “{people} told Alexander that his ancestor was the hero Achilles. Throughout his life, Alexander carried with him a copy of the great poem the Iliad, which told of the deeds of Achilles [24]. ” this shows the Greek literature inspiring people because since Alexander was told he was a related to a hero he wanted to become like his relative so he read the Iliad to learn more about it and achieve greatness just like Achilles and he conquered his enemies and other countries with that book in his hand to help him on his journey because without it he would not have done the things he did. .The Greeks were the first major European civilization to create complex literature, and their works influence we write. According Christopher Muscato we literature today in many ways. One way is in the style we usually write. The literature of ancient Greece was so important that it was preserved for millennia and helped form the basis of modern European culture. This supports the claim because the authors of ancient Greece left major legacies that included styles and themes of literature, early mythologies and histories, and of course, words to describe important aspects of life. The complex literature use also help the modern world today add on to its vocabulary changing the way we spoke and wrote forever. This is important because without their literature Greek spreading would not have happened since Alexander was influenced the most by the Iliad book and we would not have many different style
