Graduation Speech: Scomich
The best time of the year is when Christmas comes around. When the snow comes and it's really cold outside, the lights on houses and decorated Christmas trees. The thing is that every Christmas there is always that one thing that you really really want, but you know you're not going to get it. Whether it’s because it’s too much money or it’s somewhere you want to go or if it doesn't exist. For Christmas, a great present would be for Scomiche to be real. The first thing that my mom would say is “what the heck is a Scomich?” The first thing that I would say is that Scomich is a ship name. The name is between Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi and hey both are from the acapella group Pentatonix which they both founded. They are both openly gay and …show more content…
They are currently on their summer tour and the last dates are in California sometime in July.
The last thing my mom would say is, “I not doing that just for you.” I would say then, but you don’t know if they are going to be on another tour after this one. There is nothing about them going on another tour, but I could be wrong or if they just didn’t say anything about it yet. They are a new group so they probably will go on another tour, but if they don’t then that will be terrible. They could also break up or something like One Direction because nobody thought that would happen. So I want Scomich to be real because they would be perfect together even better than Kirstie and Avi. Although I would like to go to the Pentatonix concert in July my mom wouldn’t go for it because it’s in California. So if they break up hopefully they get back together like Fall Out Boy and be better than ever. Or if Scomiche becomes real and we go to the concert then I will die happy. So for Christmas, a great present would be for Scomiche to be

However their biggest concert is coming up on December 13th, called Crazy For Christmas. It’s not a Christmas concert really, but it’s more of a holiday concert, although they don’t play any Christmas music, it’s all mostly their new songs and some of their old songs. The concert is being held at Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. The concert isn’t by seats it’s a first come first serve sort of thing. Regular tickets add up to about 36 dollars. However they also had VIP tickets, and only 5 platinum tickets. The VIP was also very limited because they were sold out in the first 10 minutes. There are still regular tickets available but they are almost sold out. Kalin, Myles and Jake also have another close friend Tyler Garcia, or Ty. He is the one who shoots them and all of their music videos and is really close with them. Everyone…

Music is important for many people; it often enhances their lives and gives them something to look forward too. Music can also bring different groups of people together and friendships can grow. In 3rd grade, I started listening to bands such as My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and Blink-182 because my older brother was listening to them at that time. When I first started listening to the music, I just liked the sound of it, however as I grew up the music developed more meaning for me. I started to understand what the lyric meant and the music was catchy, as well as, making you feel as you belonged. Pete Wentz has always been vocal about his anxiety and depression, which helped me out with mine because it showed how I was not alone, and even my idols had to go through hard times. My first concert my parents ever let me go to was in 2013, when Fall Out Boy had just come back from hiatus, and was performing at the Jingle Ball in Sacramento with Panic! at the Disco and other artists. Since then, I have been to all of Fall Out Boy’s summer tours. While my music taste has grown, I still mostly listen to variations of pop punk music, which many of the bands in today’s pop punk scene were inspired by Fall Out Boy and those…

One thing people have always told me is that I remind them of the person Randall Cobb from the book game changers. He has one of the most creative and unique personalities. He is passionate for the game of basketball by working hard on his time. Randall is also talented in the subjects math and science by pushing himself to make good grades. He also thrives to help people even if it's with school work, personal problems, or on the basketball court. All in all he was almost exact the same person as I am he likes basketball, he helps others, and he does well in school.…

    Gwen Stefani Biography

Eric Stefani is the musician of the family and he brought stefani into the band (No 3). Gwen Stefani would become the back-up vocals and along with the Stefani siblings the other members were John Spence and Tony Kanal (4). The band made songs by themselves with no record label at first. In December 1987, John Spence committed suicide, nevertheless they continued to make music and Gwen soon became the lead vocalist in the group. Guitarist Tom Dumont and drummer Adrian Young joined the group shortly after (Bush 2). The band shortly signed with Interscope records, but did not like the lack of attention they were getting from the label. The band soon came out with the album Beacon Street Collection, which was self released from a record label called Beacon Street Records (No 9). When Interscope let the band release more music after the problem with the first one, they released Tragic Kingdom, the album served as documentation for Tony Kanal and Gwen’s break up. They dated in secret for a while in the beginning, but told members of the band after a few months. They dated for about seven years and Gwen used the break up for inspiration for her songs, “including "Happy Now?," where she teases her ex-boyfriend about being "happy now?" after dumping her, and "Sunday Morning," where she calls him a parasite” (No 8). The band released a few more albums and Stefani started to become the centerpiece for…

Finally after waiting in line for three hours, my cousin and I were next in line to meet Fifth Harmony. I was so excited and nervous. Walking quickly up to their security guard Big Rob, I gave him a high-five. Now walking into the room, my mouth dropped. Everything was in slow motion to me. Camila, a member from the band grabbed my arm. She asked me what my name was. Stuttering I said, “Ma-Ma-Makenzie” in a shaky voice. She wrapped her arms around me and called me her best friend.…

In the play, the Ghost of Christmas Past showed Scrooge what he was like in the past. In the past, Scrooge’s father did not like him because his father lost his mother during Ebenezer’s birth. As a child, he was all alone, no friends, and with a father who did not love him. Later in the play, the Ghost of Christmas Present comes to show Scrooge everybody having a wonderful Christmas Eve. Mr. Scrooge, now being a very greedy man, does not enjoy the Christmas season, or really anyone at all. He sees it as a waste of money and a “Humbug!” (Dickens 7) At the end of the play, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come shows Scrooge dead and all alone. This made Scrooge realize that he needed to act differently and should be nicer to the other people in his community. Scrooge began to become a friendlier person and began to enjoy Christmas time. (Dickens 32) Scrooge also did anonymous acts of kindness for…

This summer I went to Vans Warped Tour Chicago. Vans Warped tour is basically a giant concert with a bunch of awesome bands. I went with my dad, my cousin Mackenzie, and Missy. I got to meet Bradon Barrie from SayWeCanFly, and Bebe Rhexa. Bebe Rhexa is actually the one who wrote Monster Under My Bed but no record label would take it so she sold it. Some of the favorite bands there were, Set It Off, Peirce The Veil, Black Veil Brides, Riff Raff, Privis, and many others. It was super fun and I got an official Warped Tour CD and a Peirce The Veil shirt with a piece of pizza on it. There were a lot of amazing memories but some of my favorites were, getting to be in the mosh pit a lot, and seeing Set It Off perform Forever Stuck In Our Youth. It…

First off all I don’t like Christmas, I don’t like to buy presents, all the time you need to get, just so you can go out there and use your money for presents, that they don’t even need, and some of the fake smiles you get then you buy the wrong thing for them, and just knowing that they will return it, and buy something else. What a great time, or should we call it a waste of time, we use so much time at finding presents, and use so much money for nothing, and some people can’t take the time for it, so they can get some serious stress, but do we care about that, no, we just want our presents, and if we don’t get them it would be a sad Christmas.…
