Germany Essay
Today we arrived in Germany I’m excited to see all the sites and learn about a new country’s culture. Our plans for today is to check into our hotel Brandenburger Hof Berlin , I have to say from the minute we entered the beautiful hotel the staff was quite welcoming. This afternoon we are going to visit some shops and eat at an authentic German restaurant called Maximilians. After supper we called it a early night because everyone was tired from the 17 hour plane ride. I can’t wait to go explore some more tomorrow it should be fun! We are beginning our second day bright and early with breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Then we are going to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, I have never had the chance to visit one in the United States and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. The wax figures looked so real you just wanted to touch them to make sure they were really wax, and that it wasn’t Michael Jackson or Lady Gaga standing in front of you. We took so many pictures that I ran out of space on my memory card. After leaving the museum we wanted to visit East Side Gallery where the Berlin wall once was but is now an exhibit artist came from everywhere to pay their tribute to the downfall of communism. Today we are going to a popular attraction near Berlin the Tropical Islands. It is a tropical paradise indoors, everything you can experience in the Bahamas here in Germany all year round. The Tropical Islands has waterslides, wave’s pools, sandy beaches, and restaurants and bars. After spending the day splashing and relaxing at the beach we headed back to the room to get changed and cleaned up for dinner. We had dinner and then went and enjoyed some of the nightlife in Berlin we went to a local hot spot called Kastanienkeller. On my fourth day in Germany my plans include a sightseeing cruise on the River Spree to see the Potsdamer Platz, Reichstag, Museums Island, Berlin Cathedral and much more. After sightseeing we will be headed to Kurfürstendamm and

Walking back to the cabin, I recalled all of the pleasurable moments that occurred that day. On the peaceful walk back, we got ice cream, which I was very pleased with. That was a perfect day of fun, good laughs, and of course, the tranquil scene of the beautiful beach. I was delighted when I got back to the cabin and couldn’t wait for what the next day had to…

We saw the roof view of DC, the movie about historical moments in reporting, and the Berlin Wall, along with the East German guard tower and the beheaded statue of Vladimir Lenin, first leader of the Soviet Union. We also saw Capitol Hill and the Jefferson Memorial, until our newest stop, the Pentagon City Mall. There, I ate at Auntie Anne's and then spent over $40 on flags. After that, we went to see the Pentagon and 9/11 Memorial, a very sad memorial. There were little “Benches” which pointed towards either the Air Force Memorial or Pentagon, depending on if they died in the Pentagon or on the plane. There, a group of loud kids were running around, which led to many of us being angry, as they were very disrespectful. We then went to the WW2 Memorial, where we left our tour guide Rick, which was a rather sad moment. Next up was the hotel, to go in for the…

I would love to visit Berlin because the heart of Germany is there. It’s the capital of the country and approximately all of the tourist attractions are there. Another reason I would want to vacation in Germany when traveling Europe is because my cousin, who goes to West Point Military Academy, went there for his summer break and my grandmother visited Berlin, Munich, and other German cities in the 1970s before the Berlin Wall was knocked down. My grandmother has several stories in regards to it. Consequently, all of their stories about Germany have persuaded me into wanting to travel to Germany. The last reason why Germany would be a fantastic addition to my Europe travels is the Frankfurt Book Fair. This fair would be entertaining to attend because I adore books, I have the opportunity to support booksellers, and I am able buy books I may not be capable to buy anywhere else. When traveling Europe, Germany would be one of the places I would go to because of Berlin, my relatives’ adventures, and the Frankfurt Book…

Hitler was a villain who was in command of a dark nation during World War II. His reign could not last forever and he was eventually defeated by the Allies because of his mistakes that escalated his destruction. The battle of Dunkirk was a tragedy in the eyes of Germany. Declaring war on the United States of America was a tremendous mistake. Losing the battle at Stalingrad would increase the rate of defeat. Hitler lost World War II, not because of one mistake but instead because of a culmination of many mistakes.…

The economy of West Germany was created by the merger of the individual zones of the French, British and Americans powers to create a united economic entity for West Germany in 1948. The Western powers were instrumental in rejuvenating the economy of the newly formed state. They instituted measures such as ending price controls and putting a new currency in place. This was done not only to create an ally and trade partner but also to impress upon West German leaders that the nation would be a part of the capitalist bloc and would consequently participate in western economic alliances such as the EU. The European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), the precursor to the EEC, was formed by French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman in the hopes that this organization would reduce the effects of war devastation in Europe, improve relations between France and Germany and place West Germany firmly in the cohort of European nations. Due to its membership of the ECSC and the EEC, West Germany was required to reduce duties and restrictions on trade, promote its economic relations with Western European nations and integrate with other…

We had all travelled, for the past two days, in a mini bus from Canada to America. My aunt recommended us to go to America on a tour, as we could see far more attractions than that in Canada. The bus had a very warm and pleasant mood as we had seen enjoyed our short but pleasant, trip thoroughly. From the Empire State Building to the Statue of Liberty we not only had the pleasure of seeing some of the greatest tourist attractions in the world but also spending time who began as strangers but now very close friends.…

Upon arrival I found it easy to adopt the concept of public transportation, and each metro ride became more satisfying as I met varying people of varying nations. I then adjusted my eating schedules and found a taste for French cuisine. With this, I commenced greeting my fellow Frenchmen with, “Bonjour monsieur!” I was determined to not leave as a stereotypical tourist. I made it my goal to experience the nooks and crannies far from tourist France that is so often portrayed. That is when I found myself sitting in a local brasserie sipping “une lemonade” and thinking this is one adventure of a lifetime.…
