The war on the pacific started on December 7th 1941 when the Japanese military attacked pearl harbor the reason on why they attacked pearl harbor was the American government put an oil embargo which it dropped Japan’s oil supply and import by 80%. The process of this made the Japanese look south for supplies, the attack at the base was to weaken the American navy and destroy their oil supply for their ship’s. The reason why America put up the embargo was to make Japan’s advance on China stop it was also made to try to avoid conflict with Japan so their wouldn’t be a war to happen. The attack on pearl was planned for a while the Japanese military got their top pilots to attack the base in Hawaii, the attack took place early in the morning on Sunday December 7th 1941. The attack was a victory for the Japanese military but at the price Isoroku…

He changed the view of the military within the IC and created a unique mission for America's most professional and capable units. In a time where the Iraq and Afghanistan wars seemed to be at a tipping point that favored the enemy, he restored a balance and mitigated their advantage as a decentralized organizations. He is responsible for revolutionizing the process which removed America's highest value targets from the battlefield, saving countless American lives, and will ensure America is always prepared for its next, unknown…
He was the first General Officer to be killed during the American Civil War and could be found slathering mustard on bread in the midst of battle. Brigadier General (BG) Lyon was one of the most respected and most renowned officers during the American Civil War. His men followed him throughout the most dangerous battles, willing and ready to fight to the death for him. BG Lyon participated in four major American battles throughout his tenure in the military and was a true patriot who believed God, country, and family were the principles every man should live by.…
Patton was born in San Gabriel, California on November 11, 1885. From a young age Patton was told of his ancestors fighting in the Civil War, Revolutionary War, and the Mexican war. And ever since then he has wanted to become a hero. George attended the Virginia Military Institute for one year then went off to West Point and graduated from there on June 11, 1909. On May 26, 1910, he married Beatrice Ayer, whom he dated while at west point. In 1912 he went to the Stockholm Olympics which was mostly open for military officers, it was said to be the most rigorous test that a soldier possessed. At the end of the event he placed fifth, which is pretty remarkable. The events consisted of a pistol shooting from 25 meters(most chose a .22 revolver, but Patton chose a .38), sword fencing, a 300 meter free style swim, 800 meters horse back riding, and a 4-kilometer cross country run.…

Patton’s role in World War II was also immensely important, especially as commander of the third army. His troops conquered and liberated more conquered and liberated more territory than any other army in war history. He is very well known for his heroism in the Battle of the Buldge. Upon his graduation from the United States Military Academy, Lieutenant Ulysses S. Grant was stationed in St. Louis Missouri. Grant wasn’t stationed very long until he was issued his first deployment to the Mexican American war where he served as a quartering master. He would oversee the shipments of supplies being brought in and shipped out as well. Keeping a close eye on his Generals, Grant was taught outstanding leadership skills. Grant was eventually granted the opportunity to lead a company into battle and afterwards was credited for his bravery. Even under fire for the first time leading a company, Grant led his men from, he was at the head of the assault at all times. In 1844 at this time Grant was married with two kids and was being sent to several post all around the United…
I would have to chose, Woodrow Wilson. Wilson was the 28th president and an advocate for world peace. I chose him as a hero because of that, which I will elaborate more on later on, but that would have to be one of the main reasons I chose him, I for one think that would take a ton of courage. He was later ranked one…

Among those people, one of my favorite heroes is general Aung San who was Burmese revolutionary leader and negotiated with British Empire for Burma’s independence, fought for freedom of Burma from British colony and was founder of Burmese Army in Burma. He was assassinated by his enemy in 1947. The reason why I admire him is because he got freedom from British colony from British country. He sacrificed his life for my country and all the people of Burma. Because of him, Burma received independence in 1947 at the same year of his assassination. He is not only my true hero but he is also a national hero of Burma. I really respect him and love him from the bottom of my heart, present and he is my greatest hero who was in history.…
