Woodrow Wilson As A Hero
The official definition for a hero is a person, typically a man who is admired or idealized for courage. Which I agree, a hero is someone who has tons of courage and can make anyone feel safe. I would say a trustworthy man/woman adds to the characteristics of a hero. A hero is also a protector of everyone around. A hero is basically an admired man or woman who tries everything in their power to do anything they can for someone.
I would have to chose, Woodrow Wilson. Wilson was the 28th president and an advocate for world peace. I chose him as a hero because of that, which I will elaborate more on later on, but that would have to be one of the main reasons I chose him, I for one think that would take a ton of courage. He was later ranked one

Thomas Woodrow Wilson was born on December 28, 1856, in Staunton, Virginia. He spent his childhood as the son of a dedicated Presbyterian mom and dad, named Janet Woodrow (his mother), and Joseph Woodrow (his father). His father was a minister of the First Presbyterian Church. Less than a year later, the family moved to Augusta, Georgia. Young Wilson's earliest memories were of the Civil War, seeing Union soldiers march into town, watching his mother tend wounded Confederate soldiers in a local hospital, and witnessing General Robert E. Lee pass through town under Union guard after his surrender at Appomattox Court House in Virginia. He also saw the poverty and devastation of Augusta during the early years of Reconstruction. In 1870, his family moved to Columbia, South Carolina, and then to Wilmington, North Carolina, in 1874.…

Throughout history, there have been an incalculable number of heroes; that can be through reality or fictitious. From viewing the clips from this assignments and reading various articles regarding heroism, there are multiple aspects that determine exactly what a hero should be. In regards to the Spiderman video, Aunt May explains that a hero is someone that is courageous, self-sacrificing, and sets examples for others. Likewise, an article I read describes a hero as someone who is courageous, selfless, humble, patient, and caring. In my opinion, a hero is an individual who cares more about the life of others than themselves; they would do anything in their power to protect others as well as the world around them.…

In the past 230 years there have been forty-three presidents of the United States of America. Most of them had average political skills, many of them were outstanding, and only a few are considered to be great historical figures. In his monograph, Woodrow Wilson, Arthur S. Link discusses the President of the United States' influence on the world, his choices during his time in office, and the effect of his life on the world today. Link argues that Wilson shaped the way World War I played out in three important ways. First, Wilson advocated for peace and avoidance of interference in international conflicts. Second, he believed strongly in keeping the nation secure and keep the war handled fairly with the principle of neutrality firmly in mind. Although he fought at length to avoid involvement in World War I, Wilson decided to enter the war based on his ideas for neutrality and to bring the war to a close. Finally, Link argues that because Woodrow Wilson maintained a strong sense of peace and security for the American people, the actions of the president on behalf of the people and the country at that time were well justified. Using the writings of Woodrow Wilson himself and the correspondences of those he kept in touch with, Link finds evidence enough for his claims.…
