Galileo Galilei was a paving stone for the advancement in the fields of science and astronomy in that he invented, introduced and provided proof for concepts, laws, and new technologies which have assisted mankind in understanding the laws which govern Earth. His brilliance and zeal for science and astronomy has inspired and motivated other great intellectuals to explore and enhance our understanding of science. In 1583, Galileo made his first important discovery when he witnessed a chandelier swinging and by further experimentation he described the rules that govern the motion of pendulums.
