future plan
Everyone has dreams when I was small my dream was to be a pilot, police, lawyer or a business woman when I grow up, but many others have problem making decision. I was one that couldn’t decide what to do. Until very recently when I finally decided I want to help people when I grow up. I want to be a pediatric nurse practitioner. Pediatric nurse practitioners are involved prescribing medication to parents for their children’s as well as conducting therapy treatments guided by a licensed physician. I know this profession is going to take a lot of schooling which I know my family could not afford to help me with it and it is also going to take a lot time and motivation too. But I know this what I want to be and that is my future. At first my only dream was to be veterinarian. The reason I wanted to be a veterinarian was when my cousin’s dog died of some organ failure. I felt really bad because I had spent some precious time with her which I could never forget. So, I thought I would be one of those that would help sick animals. But I later realized that I can’t see animal’s hurts. So I later decided that the career best for me was to become a PNP because I always love being around kids.
Next, is what I want to do now I’m a senior in high school? I want to get a degree in PNP. I want to go to University of Wisconsin Milwaukee to get my degree and if needed my further studies too. I have also taken some classes in school such as intro to health occupation and child development. I was very successful in class which made me help decide what I want to be. These are my future plans that I want to accomplish through out my career.

My dream is to become a Veterinary Nurse, but why? Of course I want to spend my days playing with the animals of strangers but there is more to my career choice than that. I have witnessed animals in need and seen them hurt. Animals cannot treat or self diagnose themselves. This career will be so rewarding to me and fill my heart every night when I come home knowing that I am saving lives. A role model of mine is Miranda Lambert, a brilliant counter singer but most importantly, and animal rights activist. She has a huge heart for animals and can found donating thousands to local shelters and adopting numerous animals in need. The stress in the Veterinary field is unbelievable but having my family and God by my side I know I can handle it. Although I have an immense love for animals I have strengths in math and science that will get me along in my career. I have demonstrated my passion for…

I have always been the “caretaker” in my family. If someone were hurting, he or she came to me and told me his or her symptoms, and I did my research and told them what I thought about it. Before that, when I was about three years old, I took care of my newborn baby sister. My mama was sick, and my step dad was at work, so I took care of my sister. People ask kids what they want to be when they grow up, and they always get some crazy answer like a movie star. When my mama asked me, I said a doctor. I have since learned that doctors do make a lot of money, but they spend most of it on insurance. My career goal has changed; now I want to be a nurse of some kind, but it is still in the medical field. My grandma said that I like school so much that I will not stop going until I become a doctor. She was right about many things, but I am not so sure about that one. A Registered Nurse (RN) is a good career with a wonderful history, and a nice salary, but you need specific qualities to be an RN.…

My interest in veterinary medicine began when I was a child. I have always been an animal lover and have had pets my whole life. I became a vegetarian when I was seven, unable to ignore the connection between living animals and the meat on my plate. I wanted to be a veterinarian from the start but my parents felt I would have more satisfaction being a medical doctor. I enjoy helping people any way I can so I decided that was what I was going to pursue. Freshman year of college however, I went back to my childhood dream. I volunteered at an animal shelter and decided that animals were my passion. I changed my major from pre-med to pre-vet and never looked back. Shortly after I graduated, I started volunteering at the Athens Area Humane…

As a child growing up I think I always wanted to work in the medical field, seeing my mother as a LPN. I also have always had a natural interest in the medical field because I like to watch a lot of ER and hospital shows. At first I didn’t really know what health career I wanted to pursue. I just knew that I liked being in the healthcare class and learning about the different health science careers and what they do. I think a medical office administration assistant would be a very good career for me because I am very helpful and can always be counted on when people need me. This is not my only career choice, it’s just the first I want to pursue. One year after graduation I will hopefully have my medical assisting certificate or at least be working on getting it. Around my five year mark I want to try to get a degree from a nursing school and become licensed as a registered nurse. After that I will try to specialize in pediatrics, so I can be a pediatric nurse. In ten years, I want to get my nurse practitioners license, so that I could work directly with a pediatrician.…
