Fundango Brand Overview
Brand overview

"It all started with me wanting some shorts I couldn't buy anywhere,...” (HI)STORY
• Fundango – A brand that started in the world of riders, about 10 years ago. At that time, full-blown young skateboarders gave life to Fundango. Since then, the brand has led a life of sports clothing brands with professionally designed collections but its growing is still accompanied by its parent’s lifestyle. Today, skiers, snowboarders, skateboarders, surfers, riders and anybody who feels close to „free” sports are proud to wear these products. In the course of the years, Fundango collections have covered an increasingly wider range while preserving their original values, and, in addition to the powerful technical collection, streetwear also plays an important role. The style of Fundango products suit well the target group's demands. Today, the initial skateboarder hardcore has been expanded to cover all those liking cool sportswear and appreciating the value added by the brand image. Typically, our customers are youths between 16 and 29 years of age, willing to pay for comfortable, quality and sporty streetwear or functionally well usable technical clothes. For this, they receive the above described Fundango feeling rooted in the initial hardcore line which we are trying to make as widely accepted as possible and underline by way of ongoing and increasingly intensive marketing support. It is a significant element of Fundango's communication to sponsor events, as well as the Fundango Team involving the best of extreme sports. This is what makes the brand an accepted, genuine brand in the world of extreme sports. In the future, we will pay more and more attention to a more advantageous store display that appropriately communicates the core values to the target group, as well as printed press and outdoor media. Fundango's ongoing growth is backed up by a professional design team, a wide range of high-quality products and ongoing international expansion.

As the hockey skate market matures and becomes more concentrated with a few large competitors (Exhibit 6), the competition to provide high-quality top-notch products increases. With the hopes of satisfying the most critical target segment of consumers aged from 12-18, who are known as “the Boss”, CCM launched its new line of skate known as U+ Pro that incorporated the U-Foam technology which had the ability to take unique shape of each individual foot. The production and launch of the U+ Pro skate was rushed as CCM took aggressive marketing actions to push its product through to its retailers and finally to reach the end users. As a result, the new line of skates started experiencing quality issues soon after, mainly in its durability, and CCM has since attempted to fix this problem through re-launch of its new and improved line of skates known as U+ Pro Reloaded. CCM has decided to change its traditional launch strategy of releasing its products in March/April, and instead decided to release during the fall hoping that consumers, having acquired these skates in the fall, would use them in the coming summer (Refer to Appendix (A) for detailed timeline of events leading up to the decision). CCM now faces a major decision in deciding the marketing and positioning strategy for their new line of U+ Pro Reloaded skates, which has been…

Under Armour’s accomplishment over the last ten years has been nothing but remarkable. However, serious threats to the company growth should be a concern. Under Armour is strongly overlooking the fierce competition in the sports apparel industry that has the potential to seriously hold back the continued success of the company. For instance, the marketing strategy of Under Armour should face severe scrutiny as the company delivers a particularly wide-range of products, still they only focus on their football apparel for male athletes. Their product offerings target a sizeable market and have the aptitude to appeal to a much greater target market. Under Armour produces products for many sports, everything from hunting to lacrosse, yet these products are generally unheard-of.…
