Forbidden Love
There is a story by a woman named Kate Chopin its called “The Storm”, which is also a sequel to “At the 'Cadian Ball”. This story will tell you the story of a forbidden love affair. A love affair that could cause emotional harm to those involved should never happen especially when there is a child involved. In this case there is a four year old child that belongs to the mother and she meets an old friend and things continue from there. There is a father and son by the name of Bobinôt and Bibi they were out at a store called friedheimer's when they noticed some “sombre clouds that were rolling in with sinister intentions”. the type of weather that was to accompany the clouds came with a roar of thunder. It was at that point that Bobinôt decided they should remain at the store till the storm passes over. The child known as Bibi mentioned to his father that he thought his mama would be afraid during the storm. It was after Bibi said something about his mama being afraid of the storm that “Bobinôt arose and going across to the counter and purchased a can of shrimps, of which Calixta was very fond of.” While at home Calixta didn't feel in any danger due to the storm while she sat sewing at he machine. Calixta tried to make herself busy around the house while he was inside, she gathered up what she had been sewing and she starts saying how she worried about her son and husband and Alcée speaks up and says “let us hope, Calixta that Bobinôt got sense enough to come in out of a cyclone.” After that was said Calixta got a very disturbed look on her face, the fact that she knew where her son and husband were and this man in her home talking about her husband like he was greatly
