Fiorina And Trump Persuasive Essay
The candidates I have picked for comparison are Carly Fiorina and Donald Trump. Both are running as Republican’s in the 2017 presidential election. Both candidates are doing well in the polls. Fiorina is second in the polls right behind Trump at first. Fiorina is a former business CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Trump is a real estate developer, TV star and a successful businessman. Where both candidates are Republican’s they will agree on some topic but will differ in the way they agree and the way they would handle each issue that America in facing as of now in the 21st century. Same sex marriage has been one of many topics in the Republican Party debate. Fiorina and trump both believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman. Same sex marriage is now 50 states legal as of 2015. Fiorina and Trump both oppose same-sex marriage as they have stated in the past debates. Fiorina believes marriage is between a man and a woman, but she doses support civil unions. Civil unions were primarily created for same-sex couples and only provide state level protection against a couple if same sex marriage is not leangle in a particular state. Both Fiorina and Trump agree that Foreign issues need to be dealt with right away for the safety of the United States. Fiorina wants to rebuild the U.S. military and also the 6th fleet. She also wants to arm the cruds to eliminate isis and have no deals with Russia or Iran on nuclear cooperation unless we can come in and inspect there phosilities. Trump hasn’t said much about what his plans are on this topic, but says he wants renegotiate our trade deals with other country’s as well as our military deals with them. He also comes out and says he wants to make our military stronger and bigger than it is
