Film Review: Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Throughout my college years, I never came across Religion in any way. As far as learning about the subject, and going into more depth about it. As I started this Honors class, my professor has taught me basic knowledge about Religion. Everyone tends to think Religion is just “a belief”, or “believing in a god or higher power”, but little do they know it goes beyond that. The applicability of religion to mankind is unbearable. Every individual has the chance to choose what they want to believe. Unless, you were born into a religion, or your culture requires you be a certain way. Individuals have their own perception of what they choose to say about someone’s religion, as well as what other people say about theirs. It brings a great awareness to me on how people are quick to judge due to the fact that they think they know about someone’s background, yet they only know what they think they know. Not the facts. I have always tried to understand beyond what I’m thought. My professor made some pretty funny yet interesting points.

This movie is about a Wudang swordsman named “Li Mu Bai”, who has the great skills of an acknowledged emperor. His master was murdered by “Jade Fox”, who was in the journey of learning Wudang skills, but she was never good enough to anyone to obtain the skills. Li Mu Bai has feelings for “Shu Lien”, a female warrior who is a good friend of Li Mu Bai. She is very important to him, and has lead him a long way. There is a sword called “The Green Dynasty”, which holds great power to whoever is in possession of it. Then, comes Jen, who is the daughter of Governor Yu. Shu Lien and Jen develop a friendship/sisterhood with each other. Jade Fox slowly trains Jen to be her warrior, and takes her under her wing. Jade puts so many things into Jen’s head, that she than decides to go after Li Mu Bai. At the end, Li Mu Bai can’t kill or disown Jen because he has developed a sense of protection for
