EVIDENCE BASED NURSING PRACTICE
INTRODUCTION
Evidence Based Nursing or EBN is an approach to making quality decisions and providing nursing care based upon personal clinical expertise in combination with the most current,relevent research available. It is also known as evidence based practice. It is a thoughtful integration of the best available evidence coupled with the clinical expertise.
TERMINOLOGIES

Specific practice recommendations that are based on a methodologically rigorous review of the best evidence on a specific topic.

Because of their newness & the sparse literature describing role development outcomes, the concrete research & EBP effect of individuals prepared for these role is yet to be determined.
EBP & NURSING EDUCATION Nursing educator has embraced the integration of evidence based practice into the nursing education curriculum in numerous ways. Most of these approaches built upon long standing commitments to helping students understand the scientific research process, think critically and develop the information literacy skill that will enable them to find evidence that can inform their practice.
