Measure of success
Performance and public speaking

My plan for public speaking is to gain more confidence and speak in front of small groups and then progress onto bigger groups. I'm shy when it comes to big groups but when I start to feel comfortable I will be fine and suddenly blossom.
I will measure my success by keeping a record for every public speech I do. This will help me keep a record for how I did and to see how I improved.

Interacting with others

I feel that I'm ok when the other person is very welcoming and is similar to me but when it comes to someone who isn’t so confident and isn’t like me then it’s quite hard to communicate with them smoothly. My plan for this is to try and be more open and less nervous about what they think of me and just be happy and try to help them communicate with me as much as I'm communicating with them. My bar work is very helpful for interacting with people because I have to take random peoples drink orders and questions.
I will keep a record of each new person I interact with; to make sure I'm doing a good job at interacting with new people and I will then become more confident in the future. I will give myself feedback and a score from 1-10, 1 being bad and 10 being good.
Graphic or design skills
I feel that I have loads of ideas in my head but when putting it to paper; I struggle because I don’t know how to lay it out. My design skills aren’t the greatest in the world because they're very basic. My plan for this is to try and get my idea down onto the paper as soon as it comes into my head and then assess the idea to see if it works. I will also practise drawing ideas and constructing different ideas. I will also look at videos on YouTube to help me in a ‘step by step guide’ to get me to understand.
I'm going to keep a record of the ideas I have and try to use them and see if they will work and if the idea works, I will give myself feedback and then try to design the idea and if it works then I will comment saying ‘successful’ and if it doesn’t work I will put ‘unsuccessful’.
Know what my weak points are

I can identify some of my weaknesses but I really want to improve them. My plan is to improve my confidence, so I can then go up to other people in the group and just speak to them and bond with the other students who will be with me for the years to come. I also want to improve my work ethic because I need to start getting up and going to the library at a good time because recently I have been slacking. The way I'm going to improve this is, I'm going to speak to more people and then start to build a constructive relationship with them. I have started setting 8 alarm times.
I will keep a growing record of my weaknesses, so that I can improve and this will have a record of comments to do with my weaknesses improving.
Ability to deal with change

I have a plan to deal with change because it is very important to be flexible. If I improve my ability to deal with change, then I will start to become more confident in groups, it will also help myself and the group. My plan is to use the motto of ‘go with the flow’ when it comes down to the changes. This is because I will be able to adapt and learn that everything can be vesicle.
I will need to get feedback from my group, so that I can write down their comments on my record. This will help me in the future for different problems because I will be more adaptable.
Foreign Languages

My plan for this is to learn and research the language and accents because I am very interested in Portuguese because of my best friend. Rafael is Brazilian and has planned for me and him to go back to his dads in brazil for a couple of months to learn the language and work for his dad. This will increase my ability of speaking and writing this language. I'm currently learning to make a conversation about food and what my favourite sports and places to go are.
I'm going to try and speak as much Portuguese as possible when around my Brazilian friends so that I can become even better and fluent. I will keep a record of how well I did and what I struggled with.

I used dread the discomfort that arose from public speaking and avoided every class presentation, which to my frustration, resulted in missing exciting opportunities. During my sophomore year of high school, I chose to take a speech class to embrace speaking opportunities instead of shying away from them. The first few days of class were nerve-racking, but steadily I gained more skill and confidence in my speaking abilities. Towards the close of sophomore year, I stepped into a leadership role, despite my previous anxieties. In a 100-student mock trial, I confidently presented the opening and closing statements for the defense.…

My recommendation for evaluating the training program consists of both reaction criteria and performance measurements such as results comparisons and will be conducted online so once the employees submits the evaluation I will see and can tally the results quickly. An evaluation should not consist only on reaction criteria because it is based on pure opinion; while the learner opinion needs to be taken into consideration it does not need to be the sole measurement on the evaluation training (Bernardin & Russell, 2013). Evaluating training allows the training to ensure the employee was present for training and to learn if the quality of the training will assist the employee with their job performance (Mythen & Gidman, 2011). Getting the learner…

For me personally public speaking has never been one of my great fears. Luckily, at a young age I was taught to be comfortable with speaking in front of any type of audience, large or small. In middle school and high school I participate on a debate team as well as the school’s drama club. In both activities I was expected to speak in front of groups of people and the more I did this the more comfortable I become, not to mention that my speaking skills become very well developed. When speaking in public it is important to really know what you plan on discussing and to practice beforehand so that your speech will flow smoothly which in turn will cause you less anxiety. The other thing that cannot be stressed enough is the need to practice, practice,…
