It happened in August, of 2012, when I was staying with friends and they got evicted, and I had no other place to live. I was talking to Judy and she said I was not sleeping under a bridge, for me to come and stay with her and my father and help them out since they have had heart attacks and need someone to help them out. Judy is backing me on going to church and doing my college classes, she is the one who said for me to come and stay at their place to help them. While watching the Four Little Girls, I could see and understand better what was liked to live while the segregation still existed. In this movie, it showed through how many things black/colored people had to get thought. President Obama talked about how church was their safe place in their community. In this eulogy, Mr. President focused himself on how the church was the “African-American life center,” it was the “Hush Harbor,” were many people (colored) gathered and practiced their beliefs and how many things were offered and promised to them, yet not receiving it. This movie shows all of these statements made above, it shows how the grace it’s given, yet misleader by many, specially whites in this movie. I say this, because…

Mrs. Bea was always there when I was confused about what God wanted me to do. She would always tell me to pray and listen. Looking back on that time in my life, I can now see where I never actually done what she told me. Yes, I prayed, but I never actually listened and because of that I can see where I missed great opportunities to share my faith with others. After she left, I relied heavily on Mrs. Knight to help. This past year I found out that I will not be able play softball my senior year of high school. This will be my first year since I started playing at the age of 5, that I will not be able to play the sport I love. In fact, I will be having surgery on my shoulder on my shoulder in two weeks. This has been a real difficult time for me because I have felt as if God has left me, but Mrs. Knight continues to remind me that God’s plan is bigger than anyone can ever imagine. She has also told me that God gives us these storms so that we will be able to help someone else that might be going through something similar. In fact, Mrs. Knight is helping me gather my testimony so that I can tell it to the FCS members. It is still hard for me, as the softball season gets closer, that I won’t be able to play. Mrs. Knight has really helped me and been there for me in this difficult time. She has constantly been praying for and with me. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her continuous help and support. Both of these women have played a major role helping me with my walk with…

Hello and thank you all for coming. Today we are gathered to mourn the loss of a spectacular individual who stood next to me through the thick and thin, through the good and bad, and has left my heart with a crater big enough to engulf the world, Mrs. Mallard. She was a faithful and devout woman whom I am proud to call my wife. We spent many years together, during which I always tried to make her happy. Yet recently all the memories of her and I have come flooding back to me in tidal waves of emotions, and after consideration I feel I have not done enough. I did not cherish every second of every minute of every hour I was with her and it devastates me at this time, but that’s how it always goes I suppose. But not for her. Mrs. Mallard ensured my life was as simplistic and easy going as she could. Whether it was her loving support, physical labors, or the smiles she would give me which could outshine the moon. She would always know what I needed and would move mountains to make sure I had it. Her affection was so strong that it ultimately caused her passing. After being told I had perished in a mining incident she become so distressed that her heart could not handle the news that I was still alive. She had always had complications with that immense heart of hers, it was her Achilles heel. The one thing which chained her from ascending to the perfect woman, the one trade off which god decided he needed to bestow upon her so she would not take the role of a demi-god. However I know now that she is the most eloquent and beautiful angel heaven has ever seen and they will treasure her in ways I never could. This is the only fact which has kept me sane through this abysmal time. Everyone will now be able to pay their individual respects to Mrs. Mallard, and once again thank you for coming.…

Suddenly, I woke to the sound of pain and stress. In the dimmed hotel room, my mother was laid roughly on the bed motioning that she didn’t feel well. We had traveled the far and exciting journey to Las Vegas to witness my mom finish a half marathon. It was an event that she had spent minutes, hours, days, and months training for. I couldn’t believe that after all of the work my mom had done in the past year, she wouldn’t be able to compete on the big day. I was wrong though when my mom sat up, tidied her tangled hair and nonchalantly said, “let’s do this”.…

It is a quiet room filled with people. Most of them have smiles on their faces. Some of them are even about to have a laughter or two. Is it easy to find such a room in a university? Yes. But is it easy to find such a room where people are holding a funeral in? Absolutely no. The masterpiece-eulogy by Margaret Atwood made it possible. That is right, I am talking about “The Great Communicator”(1999), the eulogy to Northrop Frye.…

I Father O’reilly am privileged to have gathered amongst you all today, to give another perspective of a man who was not “just Ed”. He never gave himself great value but in my eyes he was a saint walking among us. I will never forget the moments and favours that Ed has shared with me. Ed, as many would say was a useless cab driver but in truth, I would say he was more of an inspiration and certainly it was an honour to have met this young gentleman.…

Oh no, not again. A crowd of amused snickers erupted from behind me. It seemed as though my teacher had forgotten to accessorize with her pitchfork and horns this morning. I looked up at her and crossly glared. Apparently, no number of parent-teacher conferences could deter her from her “we sometimes have to do things we do not want to” mentality. I looked down at the page and read very slowly, stumbling and whistling through every s, sh, st and everything of the like. I sounded like an angry teapot. This was my own personal hell, and I had an audience. Boy, were they having the time of their lives. You would have thought that I was the world’s best stand-up comedian.…

His name was Bradley Tolman. He was born on March 21, 1998 in Madison Memorial Hospital, in the city of Rexburg, Idaho. As a child Brad was an extremely hilarious kid, he was always smiling and laughing. There was always one thing about him that he would always do, he tied his blanket around his neck like a cape, and put on a pair of sunglasses, ran around the house saying “I’m Batman”. He would save people from the bad guys. Then there was this time when he wanted his mom to cut his hair right before school; because he wanted to go to school with his hair short. It was about time the bus should have been coming to pick them up. He really wanted his hair cut so much that he ran into the house, grabbed his dad’s electric razor,…
