Question 1: Is the "Fight-or-Flight" response evident in this case? Explain
Yes. The fight-or-flight response refers to the biochemical and bodily changes that represent a natural reaction to an environmental stressor. When Colombo e-mailed the regional vice president for operations to report the wholesaler who tried to bribe her, he brushed off her complaints in a meeting and she left the office in tears.

Question 2: What influences on the stress experience appear to be present?
More than one factor influence how the individual experience stress: * Perception of situation
Colombo says that the work environment turned hostile in 2005 and therefore it became stressful. * Past experiences
Colombo had excellent work in the past, she knew her job was a senior underwriter, and she knew that it do not include bribery. * Social Support
There was an absence of social support, Colombo co-workers wanted her fired because of her complaint which made her anxious and could not cope. * Individual
Employees are different of the way that they experience and respond to stress, based on their personality. Colombo’s professional standards were being compromised and this caused her to experience stress. Colombo received a top rating that exceeded expectations. But after that was asked to pay bribes.
Question 3: What were the primary work-related stressors for Coleen Colombo and Sylvia Vega-Sutfin? Explain
Work related stressors: Job conditions, career development, role conflict, Interpersonal relations, and aggressive behavior influenced Colombo and lead to the level of stress she experienced. * Job conditions: The environment turned hostile in 2005 and thereafter, the suit says. At that time, one fellow employee, a male wholesaler, began bringing Colombo

    One problem when conducting research into the causes of stress is the generalisation of the sample, if the sample is restricted; this has limitations in terms of generalising the results to the total population. In the study by Johansson, a sample of only 24 workers was used and from a specific job type. This sample is unreflective of all job types and is too small to be applicable to the general population. Conclusions made may only be relevant to this sample. However it could be argued that the factors that cause stress in jobs such as deadlines and the dependence of others on you are common in all types of jobs and therefore using a sample of the specific job type becomes less restricted and applicable to other people in jobs with common stressors.…

    This brief synopsis as a human service worker in which I make every effort to help people, groups, and communities to triumph over their issues and struggles. As a human service worker I almost certainly would come across many ethical predicaments that involve susceptible issues such as discrimination, social unfairness, and oppression, poverty, substance abuse and mental health issues. As a human service worker or provider my personal principles may become an ethical difficulty with reference to discrimination of any sort because of my private belief but of course I am conscious of how many ethical standards that can be challenged if I allow my individual view to develop into concern. Nevertheless of course I identify with knowing and should no bet use as an unbiased conclusion unless the circumstances turn out to be dangerous to myself or the client involved. Next, if this circumstance come to pass then I would use the code of moral principles produced by the national association of human service workers as a most important point addressing ethical predicament which it may cause. On the other hand, I was in a circumstance where a person that I was helping he was very serious and clear in his mind and full detail about who he wanted to work with and talk too. He was discriminating against a co worker because of skin color and race although we were on the job and others was watching him he decided to be rude and very sarcastic for no apparent reason. I wanted to voice my opinion but I didn’t but finally one day I decided to read the code of ethics at work and fill out a report on him with other co workers so that the discrimination could stop. It ended up being better than before the man was disciplined but functioning in the human service department there will be times when you do not agree with your client and your own principles could turn…
