The term skinwalker, which was generally coined by the Navajo people, is a name to describe a person with the ability to turn into any animal they want. There are numerous myths surrounding skinwalkers and their frightening past. Skinwalkers are commonly seen as eagles, foxes, owls, crows, wolves, and coyotes. Navajo people believe that if you looked into the eyes of a skinwalker, they would forcibly absorb themselves into your body. Legend has it that they can steal faces and gain power/energy through fear. In addition to the mere deadly appearance of the skinwalker, the creature may also use a variety of poisons made from objects such as ground up infant bones. Keeping in mind that these myths were thought of during a time in which witches were still seen as a threat. Grinding up bones to make a poisonous potion doesn’t seem too unlikely. This game’s setting takes place at a farm. The player controls a Navajo boy named Hok'ee who will be led through traumatic experiences regarding skinwalkers through stories told by other children. The skinwalkers are not attempting to kill you. They want to possess you so that they can absorb you. Skinwalkers mainly terrorize people, cast spells on certain people, or grave rob. Their intent is to become more powerful. The skinwalkers are fast moving but will not separate far from the other skinwalkers. When skinwalkers are created they travel in packs of three. One skinwalker is the lookout, one chases off dogs, and one is assigned to perform evil deeds. I hope to implement this as a gameplay mechanic where a dog may follow a player in a story and one skinwalker chases off the dog but does not harm the human. One who is the lookout will search viciously for the human. Once the human is found, the skinwalker will report back to the evil one who will come for the
