Essay On Long Marijuana Legalization
The Long Haul for Legalization Thousands and thousands of years ago a plant called ‘marijuana’ was discovered. The plant quickly became popular for its abundance of benefits towards medical issues and even mental issues such as ADD. When marijuana is consumed it stimulates the brain and does a variety of things that can cause things such as drowsiness all the way to experiencing hallucinations. Although many people are for the legalization of marijuana and feel that it should be open to all people, there will always be a crowd that does not agree. Legalization will always be a constant uphill battle and whether all of the United States will have the opportunity of using marijuana is still being sought out. When the topic is brought up, I feel as though most people raise their noses and only have negative things to say such about it. People think that it’s a horrible drug that shouldn’t be used to treat illnesses, although the people that feel this way use drugs to treat themselves that are far more harmful. Not enough people are informed about the amazing medical benefits of marijuana, which is why I personally believe that the legalization could do some good. If everyone was able to be informed about what the plant can do medically, they might be more accepting of it. After doing research, I found that some cancer patients found relief from the pain of chemotherapy due to the use of medical marijuana. Although I know that medical marijuana is legal in some states, we have more states that have not passed the law for legalization rather than states that have. So concluding my opinion, I believe that legalization is something that should be seriously considered. Concluding this issue, the fight for marijuana legalization in all states is still undergoing adjustment. It is hard to tell if legalization for everyone will even happen. But if it has started to become legal in some states then I believe it should be legal for
