Legalizing Marijuana is Wrong Marijuana is a plant that is known by many different names such as cannabis, weed, pot, and grass just to name a few. It is known as a plant that is used for medical purposes as well as for recreational use for people all over the world. There are many different views on whether or not marijuana should be legalized. Some want to make marijuana legal just to save the money and resources that are being used on tracking marijuana dealers. Also, as well if marijuana was legalized it is thought that the tax put on sales would help the United States in this economy. People often hear when talking about marijuana, that marijuana is in fact good and there is nothing wrong it, therefore it should be legalized. Marijuana is known to be our biggest drug problem next to alcohol. It is thought to be a drug and is not good for your body at all. I know I feel that marijuana is bad, and many other Americans’ feel the same way as I do. Essentially, whether you feel marijuana is bad or good the choice is in fact up to you. You either are for legalization of marijuana or against the use of marijuana for recreational use. Most Americans have tried marijuana at some point during ones life. Many views on the subject are based on the culture or society in which one grew up in. For example if one grew up with marijuana smoking parents they would be more likely to be for legalization. But if a teenager grew up in a religious law abiding family they would believe since it is a drug that we should not legalize it. Marijuana in my beliefs does more harm than in which it does good for anyone that does not need it
