Legislative Branch

Who creates our laws? There are three different branches of our government that were established by the Constitution of the United States. These branches, the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial, were created so that our country could function and survive. The Legislative branch of the government has the main purpose of their main purpose is to carry out , it keeps the executive and judicial branches in check, and makes decisions that affect us all.

In the legislative branch there is the congress, senate, and house of representatives. There are 435 members in the legislative branch They create laws. Congress makes sure the laws are being carried out the right way. The approve judges, ambassadors, and cabinet members. They also hold impeachment trials. The Representative is chosen every 20 years they must be at least 25 years of age and must have been a citizen for 7 years. To be …show more content…
The senates and states decide how much they should pay in taxes and taxes help people in need with disabilities and more. The legislative branch has also has helped keep people safe by creating and enforcing laws that have helped keep dangerous people from doing bad things, Such as the 13th amendment, the 13 amendment abolished slavery and helped thousands upon thousands of people.The legislative branch can impact the community in whatever way you choose because you can email senators and congress on you issues with your state and they can hopefully help because that is what the people of your state elected them to do.

The legislative branch helps balance out the government. Legislature creates and carries laws out. They help keep the judicial and executive branch by balancing them out with our checks and balances, and helping keep the country together.
