The second production plan is the chase aggregate plan. In this plan, the aggregate production rate is equal to the demand forecast. As you can see in Table 2, we will hire 26 employees and lay off 18 employees during these 8 months. From these results, they indicate a fluctuation in the size of the workforce, ranging from a high of 21 employees to a low of 3 employees. This means the company must have enough space, tools, and equipment for up to 21 employees during 8 months. In addition, the total cost of this plan is $331,800, and the unit cost is $18.64 ($331,800 divided by 17,800 units).…

Donald Halls’ “A Hundred Thousand Straightened Nails” is a symbolic presentation of the decay of New Hampshire the author uses the life of Washington Woodward to show the pointless existence that is experienced in a place as lifeless as New Hampshire. He uses the contrast of his own opinion and the beliefs of Woodward to show how after a while it is impossible to escape a pointless mindset. Washington finds joy in discarded relics such as old nails, and wood, and finds simple joy in simple life. He settled on life, in his lifeless town and spent his life with his animals, his stories, his beliefs and his box of “A Hundred Thousand Straightened Nails.”(Hall)…

“Scouts of Honor” was a video that shocked me to know that the largest youth movement in the country, in which values are treating everyone equally and standing up for what you believe in, would ban gays to be a part of their organization. One in five boys in American are a boy scout. In Petalima, California, troop # 174, a twelve-year-old boy by the name of Steven Cozza started an anti-gay stand by the name of “Scouting for all”. They held petitions and set up stands at local grocery stored. They also went to San Francisco to the gay freedom day to take a stand. Steven chose to do this because of the expulsion of gays from the scouts. The New York City Police Department even opted to help in their efforts when they heard about what Cozza was doing. Cozza spoke about the increased suicide rates of teen who are searching for acceptance and trying to figure out why society is so against the homosexual community. It was justified that a gay man as a leader of a boy-scout troop would in turn be a child molester. Even the Boy Scout Association of America stated that studies show gays are less likely to be child molesters that heterosexuals. In the case against Tim Curry, the Supreme Court ruled that the Boy Scouts of American was a private institution and they could ban gays from their organization if they so desired. The boy-scout handbook teaches you to love everyone, not just certain people. Steven showed this contradiction to Americans at his rallies. Scott Cozza, Steven’s father, was forced to resign at Assistant Scout Master of Steven’s troop because f his involvement in the “Scouting for All” campaign. The banning of homosexuals from the boy scouts defeats the puproses and teachings of the boy scouts morality as a whole. In 1999, James Dale won a court case against the Boy Scouts of America stating that they were a public association and that they couldn’t discriminate on gay members. In 2000, the Supreme Court overruled their decision and stood by…

    A Short Essay on Life

In life, we come across many challenges. Some of them make us who we are while some tell us what we should be. Sometimes it is the opposite. There will be struggle, there will be bad days. Days which would never seem to end. Days which would go on and on, which would keep hurting us till the end. Many of us actually most would give up but the people who wont will be the ones to face the brighter side of the day. The night is darkest before dawn but how can we forget the rainbow after the rain? We understand to love, to give, to endure, to find pleasure, to please but what we do not understand is ourselves during all of this. Life can lie to us and no one will stop it, it can play all sorts of games with us without us even knowing because there is no one controlling it. But whatever happens in life happens for good. Good of all in it. Whatever decisions life takes for us is already planned by it and we must learn to accept it. We must come in terms with the fact that no matter how hard we try to fit in this imperfect world, it will never acknowledge us for who we are. We always feel like becoming everything else around us. But what we do not realize is that everyone wants to be happy in the end of the day. They just want to find someone who will love them and who will stand by them throughout. Throughout the stormy nights, throughout the lonely days, throughout all the cold…
