Executive summary
This is an unusual review in that it is a story of opportunities rather than problems. It takes a practical look at the use and development of citizen and state-generated information in the UK. For example, information produced by the government (often referred to as ‘public sector information’) includes maps, heart surgery mortality statistics and timetables, while information from citizens includes advice, product reviews or even recipes. Public sector information underpins a growing part of the economy

The article explains how new technologies are providing the government with important information such as natural disasters, security concerns, and any information they need in a millisecond because of the high-speed networks of technology in the world. The government is using technology to better connect and provide different services to the American people. The government is dedicated to keeping each individual person, and the nations private information safe, and secure. Technology is “enriching” our lives through so many ways we could not live without it.…

In this report I will discuss the impact of electronic information on individuals and society. I am going to talk about how the ways people access information has changed and how new technologies have played a part in this. Firstly I will talk about how increased availability of electronic information has changed mine and my family’s daily lives. Then I'll consider how this has affected the older generation, in particular, the elderly. After that, I’ll explore some of the ways organisations these days communicate with individuals and society, and finally I'll talk about people who do not have access or don't want to have access to the internet and the possible consequences of this.…
