First, she gives the first principle saying that being cool to the pizza dude is a “practice in humility and forgiveness”. The author goes on to illustrate a situation of how the pizza guy cut her off, didn’t blinker, etc. while zooming passed her. Next, she reinforces her belief by saying the pizza dude brings everyone together. In Principle 2, she says that it is a “practice in empathy”. Then, she explains how everyone has taken jobs just for the money. Adams metaphorically compares life to a pizza by saying “In the big pizza wheel of life, sometimes you’re the hot bubbly cheese and sometimes you’re the burnt crust” (“Be Cool to the Pizza Dude” 1). Principle 3 is a “practice in honor”. She presents that pizza delivery guys aren’t CEO’s or anything like that. Lastly, Principle 4 is a “practice in equality”. Since day one that I can remember, my parents have always been divorced. Sometimes it became a big problem in our family because of the constant arguments between them. The court felt it wasn’t fair for my brothers and I and came to the conclusion that the children will see a counselor one a week. At that time I was so young I didn’t know exactly what that meant and apparently had no other choice but to go. Little did I know that it would change my perception forever.…

In this paper I’m going to write about a sociological biography of a person who I interviewed and I’m going to analyze some of the social problems such as “drug war and race”, race discrimination, drug abuse, and importance of a well structured family based on my interviewee’s answers. I like to talk about family because I think family is where everything starts. If we want to define what the social problem actually means is then according to Delmar.edu the official definition of social problem is that “social problems are societal induced conditions that harms any segment of the population. Social problems are also related to acts and conditions that violate the norms and values found in society”. I’ll the data that I’m going to share in this paper is given to me by my interviewee.…

For this assignment, I have chosen to do research on, and write about one of the most famous and successful entrepreneurs and businessmen in America; Sam Walton (1918-1992), who is known for his two big business successes Wal-mart and Sam’s club. In the early years of Sam Walton’s life, he lived with his parents on a farm, but Walton’s father decided to move to Missouri to pursue his former career as a banker. Even though the family moved around, Walton kept his focus on his studies and sports which, already back then, had a lot to say about his mentality and center of attention. Sam Walton did not grow up having it easy. His parents made him do chores at home which conflicted with his school work and sports performance. He grew up during the Great Depression which forced the family to always find the cheapest way to survive and make a living. His parents made him milk the cows and deliver milk and newspapers. His childhood must have taught him a lot, and he learned that wealth, fortune and success don’t come easy. You have to work hard to be successful, and this philosophy that he learned already as a child, must have been a great motivator through his life to achieve and succeed. It taught him how to stand on his own feet and revealed to him the asset of individualism which is another great quality that an entrepreneur must acquire.…
