Enrollment System
CHAPTER 1
Introduction

Enrollment system is one of the most important and evident, not only in a university, but also in lower levels of education. An accurate and efficient enrollment system helps to ensure a good impression of the university on the students and also on possible enrollees encouraging them to matriculate in the university. The purpose of an enrollment system is to provide a means for the student, staffs and the faculty to store, access and retrieve data that are essential to enrollment. Some desirable characteristics of an enrollment system are to be readily accessible whenever needed and to store those data without the risk of being lost. Also, the enrollment system must be easy to learn, understandable and to be able to store and provide the necessary information as fast as possible. As the student enrollees increase every year, the enrollment procedures become harder and harder to deal. The amount of information that needs to be stored and accessed also increases. This only serves to slow down the system and create confusion among the students, staffs and faculty. Also, unexpected problems such as loss of information may occur. This study aims to analyze and possibly point out inaccurate and inefficient procedure within the system and suggest different ways to improve the enrollment system of FEATI University by means of collecting data from surveying the students.

The Problem and Its Background Enrollment has always been the start of the semester for a college student. The present enrollment system of FEATI University uses a computerized web-based system called the “Campus Net” for the students to access data that is used for enrollment. Although the “Campus Net” does its job very well, what makes the enrollment system of FEATI University inefficient and at a degree, inaccurate is the procedure that goes before and after it.

Statement of the Problem The present enrollment system of FEATI University although computerized, still causes a lot of inaccuracy and inefficiency in processing the record and data of the students. This study aims to improve accuracy and efficiency of the enrollment system of FEATI University. Specifically, it aims to: 1. Design an effective flowchart of the enrollment system of FEATI University; 2. Speed up the process of generating data and information that are essential to enrollment; 3.
