Engle Dental System Case Study
My dental system is Engle Dental. The electronic dental system will be able to capture all required information for billing and charting for the dentist or HIM responsible for billing and collecting. The Engle Dental System will have sections in the EDR to input insurance note and patient notes. The Engle Dental system will allow you to capture the most pertinent information when the patient makes initial appointment. Once ID number, policy holder name address, insurance company address, phone number and patient social security number the system will generate a que for those patient’s insurance companies to be called and verify insurance prior to appointment, so there won’t be any delays upon arrival. The elimination of the potential for human error will be eliminated because once the procedure is completed the billing process will start because the codes are attached to the completed procedure. Correct ICD-9 codes will only have to be entered for progress notes for i.e. follow procedure or office visit which will improve the turnaround time on your reimbursement.

service with the patients, scheduling, claims management, and co-pay collection. Collecting statistics in Engle Dental System will be made easy by having the billing directly linked to the documentation which gives access to a more vigorous set of financial data that can be put into easy to view reports to assist in managing the business.
