ENG 125 Week 1 Reading Assignment
This file of ENG 125 Week 1 Reading Assignment includes: Reading Reflection
English - General English Reading Reflection

Reading Reflection In two to four double-spaced pages (excluding title and reference page), analyze one of the literary works from this week’s readings, by completing the following: Explain why the literary work captured your interest, using terms and concepts from the text to support your explanation. Describe one of the analytical approaches outlined in Chapter 16, using details from the text to support your interpretations. Evaluate the meaning of the selected literary work, using the analytical approach you described. Your paper should be organized around a thesis statement about the selected literary work and the approach you are using to analyze the work. All sources must be properly cited. The paper must include a separate title and reference page, and be formatted to APA (6th edition) style. The paper must be two to four pages in length (excluding the title and reference page), and formatted according to APA style. You must use at least two scholarly resources (at least one of which can be found in the Ashford Online Library) other than the textbook to support your claims and subclaims. Cite your resources in text and on the reference page. For information regarding APA samples and tutorials, visit the Ashford Writing Center, within the Learning Resources tab on the left navigation toolbar, in your online course. Carefully review the Grading Rubric for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your assignment.

Think about studying abroad. Look at the opportunities offered by the school, but don't let that box you in. If you want to study in another country, you need to find out everything that is available to you. You might even be able to find something better outside of your school.

The introduction to processed foods took the world by storm, with quicker food preparation, less time spent cleaning, drive-thru access and the introduction to new recipes. Long before processed foods such as the Twinkie, Honey bun, Spam, frozen dinners, milk, etc; people consumed more wholesome foods naturally loaded with nutrients the human body needed to sustain itself. Processed foods did not exist until the early 19th Century and have since become highly advertised and subsidized by the government. Whole foods on the other hand receive little advertisement and no government subsidies, leading people away from choosing a healthier lifestyle. I believe that processed foods may perhaps taste, look and smell better than their natural whole food counterpart does, yet can you really afford to risk your health for the sake of being happy you had the ability to choose your meal?…

Outlining is the prewriting method that I have chosen to prepare week one through week three writing assignment. This prewriting process helps in a vast number ways when writing a simple paper. First of all, outlining helps in organizing the ideas of the writer from the beginning and to the end of an essay or writing assignment. This way the author can write down a particular topic, elaborate with at least three or more details and arrange each detail in chronological order based on the subject.…

For boys who have passed by or through the Middle School this week you will have noticed that the precinct was awash with the colour orange in the form of balloons and banners. The boys in Year 8 will, I hope, be able to tell you that this display of orange was to mark Harmony Day, an event organised by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. It is aimed at celebrating our cultural diversity and promoting tolerance and respect for racial difference.…
