Electrical And Electronics Engineering Personal Statement

An allure for Science and Technology and a keen interest in the growing world of technology led me to take up engineering. I chose to major in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with an intense longing to explore into the challenging field. During my under graduate program I learned the different fundamentals of electrical and electronics which were well-balanced with practical exposure. Right from my school days I had an active interest for science and research. As a matter of fact, I used to be awed by science and the role it plays in every moment of our lives. I had always strived my uttermost dedication towards learning the subject and spent my most of the time going to different faculty urging to know the concepts and its validation in practical life. Whether it is a concept or theorem, I always want to understand its importance thoroughly with a practical example instead of just remembering it for an exam. However, the education system in my country gives more credit to one who has brought more marks in the exam than the one who understands the concepts and implements them practically. This led me to fare averagely in the exams. Sadly, the rigid hierarchical education system in India suffocated my thrust for knowledge and kept throwing me back. My fascination and determination to understand things and implement them, which was my strength, remained constant. I consulted with one of the research professor of my department regarding my desire and how I could contribute towards it. He helped me a lot in confronting my curiosity and told me to concentrate on my final year project. I decided to take up “Development of electronics material for electrical devices” as my project and started to work dedicatedly towards it.
During my bachelor’s, I always believed in collaborating with professors and research scholars to give best towards my research domains.
