Go Ask Alice is a novel written by an anonymous fifteen-year-old diarist, who they refer to as Alice. It is a novel about a troubled teenage girl who becomes addicted to drugs. She starts recording this diary about her adolescent years with a sensitive and observant style. She writes down all her feelings and worries towards her weight loss, problems in school and her difficulties in relating to her parents. Alice then meets Jill, who invites her to a party and is where Alice experiences drugs for the first time. She enters the world of drugs, prostitutions, and homelessness.
