Dr. Martin Luther King: A Passion For World Peace
World peace isn't a big of part of the world as it should be. Even in society, instead of people talking things out, usually it turns to violence. As for peace around the world, people underestimate the meaning of the word. Peace- 'freedom from disturbance; quiet and tranquility.' And 'freedom from or the cessation of war or violence.' Dr. Martin Luther King, Betty Williams, and Mahatma Gandhi played major roles in pushing for world peace. Dr. Martin Luther king was born January 15, 1929, is pretty much a household name for his "I have a dream" speech. But other then that speech, he was and still is know for many other things. Dr. King graduating from high school at the age of fifteen from a Georgia school. He then went on to receive the B. A. degree in 1948 from Morehouse College, a well known Negro institution of Atlanta from which his father and grandfather had graduated. By 1954, Martin Luther King became pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Always a strong believer of civil rights for members of his race, King was a member of the executive committee of the National Association

King, I would have a million questions to ask him. Among those questions some would be “why did you have such a passion for society peace and nonviolence?” I believe that his response we be along the lines of “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.’(which was apart of his “I have a dream speech”. Another question that I would ask Dr. King would be “if you could do anything differently to change the outcome of the following years what would it be?” Now as much as I want to say that I could guess his reply to this question, I honestly would have no idea what his answer would be. I imagine that he would say he would like stress more his feelings for nonviolence
