Double Parking Problem
We can all agree that every single vehicle owner has driven through a city or neighborhood and has been challenged by the dreadful act of double parking. It’s no fun coming home from work or school just to have your path home blocked by cars parked on each side of the road, causing drivers and pedestrians to maneuver through parked vehicles or oncoming traffic. Double parking is an act of civil disobedience and is a major contributor to traffic congestion. In addition, double parking may even completely block the created one lane path for larger vehicles. It is important to realize that Double parking is a major problem that endangers both drivers and pedestrians.

Double parking occurs when multiple vehicles park on both sides of the road causing the path to be reduced and moving space to be limited. In addition, double parking is not just a problem in my community and other neighborhoods but in busy cities as well. Double parking makes it extremely difficult for vehicles to pass by and maneuver through the road. According to the article “Double Parking: Civil Disobedience Of Parking” by The National Review, double parking is an act that has to be stopped or avoided to prevent road blockage. “In neighborhoods where there is barely enough street parking on both sides, this creates an impossible situation. There is literally no place for these thousands of cars to go”(Marcus). This routine has become so popular that many people think it's legal, but it's actually a traffic violation for obvious reasons. Double parking may even block the road for larger vehicles and street cleaners. In addition, that creates an impossible situation for the larger vehicles and any cars trying to pass by when the trucks are blocked in, causing traffic congestion and drivers to be frustrated.
