Do Dress Codes Affect The Way Students Learn In School?
What is a school dress code and how does it affect the way kids learn in school? Every school has a dress code or dress code guidelines, sometimes they are highly enforced and sometimes not too much. A dress code can be anything from every student must wear the same type of shirt and pants to as long as the student is covered up they are allowed at school in whatever they choose. But, can the way students dress affect their learning in a negative or positive way, are student given too much freedom or not enough freedom. Students should be allowed wear whatever they choose to school because this will allow students to show their personality, create a self-image and families of lower income are able to dress their child in what they can afford instead of what is required. Every individual has their own way of showing their personality therefor school authority should not limit students when it comes to uniforms. Students should be able to wear what they please because when student are able to express their personality

A positive self-image can help student grow as a person throughout school because what they wear and how they pick what they are going to wear will change and mature over time. A self-image is an “internalized mental picture/idea you have of yourself” which mean anyone of any age can create a self-image so why not start students off young. There are multiple ways a student can create their self-image but something as simple as picking out an outfit for the day can be a key step to creating a positive self-image. Creating a positive self-image is a key part of allowing students to have freedom in choosing what they wear to school but allowing parents to also have the freedom to choose what to purchase as far as school clothing is also a key part of not having
