Difference Between ABT And JBT
Suggested headline: Jared Ford almost got it – a 300!

Trivia question: What does ABT and JBT stand for? Answer at end.

This column covers October 20 through October 29.

Missing a 300 game by one frame during his second game in the High Rollers league was Jared
Ford. He started with a strike and then a 10 pin got him in the second frame as he continued to roll strikes for a 280. He also has the high men’s series with the only 700 – a 712 and I believe these are personal highs for him.

Lynn Porovich (Monday Madness) and Jane Clark (Early Birds) are sharing the women’s high game honors and Porovich also rolled the women’s high series with a 626.

Other notable scores include: SIRS – Talf Wynne 256, Gene Deaver 255; Monday Madness –
Bob

Fairway wood accuracy and distance control – This is key as he isn’t very strong and therefore doesn’t hit it very far. An example of him hitting this club is on the par 3, where he uses the fairway wood to hit his tee shot with, and hits his ball within 10 foot, giving him a great chance for birdie.…

He also became the first player to hit four homeruns in a single game. Yet another of his records was for the most grand slams. A grand slam is when all of the bases are loaded, have a player on them, and a homerun is hit making the score of the play four. Gehrig hit an astounding twenty-three of these, a record that still stands today. Perhaps most impressive of all was his record for consecutive games played in. He played in two-thousand one-hundred thirty games in a row in spite of more than a dozen hand fractures, intense back pain, and other injuries and ailments, thus earning his nickname, “The Iron Horse.” The only other person ever to break this particular record was Cal Ripken with two-thousand six-hundred thirty-two consecutive games. Gehrig’s record setting days came to an abrupt end,…
