Name: Joseph
Sport: Golf

Strengths:

Skill (4):

Driving accuracy off the tee with Driver – provides good positioning for his 2nd shot. E.g. In the video when using his driver, his second shot was always off the fairway, which tells me that he’s accurate.
Long Putting – Always gives the ball a chance of going in as he hits it to or past the hole. E.g. He reads the pace and line of the putt correctly.
Flop shot around the green – When in a bad position around the green, this shot enables him to escape trouble. The shot means he can hit a very high shot that doesn’t go very far, but stops quickly. Joseph uses this shot when he misses the green to the right, and is hitting up onto an elevated green due to his positioning.
Fairway wood accuracy and distance control – This is key as he isn’t very strong and therefore doesn’t hit it very far. An example of him hitting this club is on the par 3, where he uses the fairway wood to hit his tee shot with, and hits his ball within 10 foot, giving him a great chance for birdie.

Tactics (3):

Confidence – He is confident with his game as he is prepared to take risks on the course. This is good as if he is confident they are likely to pay off, which will improve his score.
Consistently hits driver because he is strong with that club – He always finds the fairway that means he is in a prime position to hit his second shot. This means he will keep hitting this club to avoid any trouble.

Fitness (4):

Flexibility – Enables him to get in right positions at top of the swing which gives consistent ball striking. It also makes shots such as bunker shots and long irons/woods easier to do.
Balance – Means he maintains the correct position throughout the swing, which minimises some body movement mistakes.
Hand-Eye Co-Ordination – Enables a consistent swing to be performed over and over again. This minimises silly mistakes within the swing, due to a good

Golfers who already have a powerful hit probably won't notice the extra benefits from these irons as much as other players. The high launch set would be an ideal purchase as they allow a long hitter to use an A wedge to make simple 100 - 125 yard approach after the fairway.…

Before this the batter has completed mostly upper body mechanics now we want to bring that together with the legs and focus on them. The batter will get adjusted in their stance. Now when doing the full swing the batter should be fluent, swinging at about 75% from here on out, and using the power and speed from the bottom half. Since we are focusing on the bottom half now the main point I believe to is essential is the “bug squish”. The bug squish needs to be quick and hard the batter should imagine being up to bat and almost creating hole just from the bug squish. Also along with the bug squish should be the hips and how fast the girl can close her hips in sync with her bug squish. Basically when the batter gets to a full swing of the tee they have to be able to pull all the mechanics together and get a solid straight hit. When I am in practice it only do maybe 20 full swings of the tee then I move to front…

There has been a recent shift in putting techniques on the PGA Tour. Not a colossal movement, just a shift. This shift in putting technique has been gaining steam for years, even decades. More and more PGA Tour players are using a putting technique called anchoring. The technique is very simple. The player uses a lengthened putter and anchors the grip end of the club somewhere on the player’s body. The grip end of the putter is usually placed in the or around the belly button, then the player strikes the ball with the putter. Golf’s top two governing bodies, the United States Golf Association and the Royal and Ancient Golf Association, have moved to outlaw this technique and have proposed a ban which is scheduled to start in the year 2016. There is no need for this proposed ban and any attempt to outlaw this putting technique will be a detriment to the great game of golf. The anchored putting technique should be kept legal because it has been legal since its inception thirty years ago and golf’s popularity has blossomed during that time, there is no proof that this technique makes putting any easier, and the USGA has already ruled, twice, to keep anchored putting legal in the past.…

    Hitting In Baseball

First off, one must have the proper batting stance. The proper stance is feet a little wider than shoulder width, knees bent and an almost straight upper body with both eyes facing the pitcher. When this is done correctly the batter has a better chance of hitting the baseball. The next thing to being a successful hitter is hitting the ball in between the foul lines. This is a difficult task in itself. One’s timing must…

    Tiger Woods

Before he turned three years old he was already appearing on television and impressing everybody from the host of the show and all the way to his Dad with his golf swing. Tiger Woods came on the Mike Douglas show along with his Dad to show off his talent for the game of golf. Tiger’s father, Earl Woods had always been a lifelong golf advocate. Most people feel like Earl Woods was a bigger fan of golf then his son and Tiger merely started to play the sport due to his father’s passion for the game and he wanted to make his dad proud so he took up the sport practically out of the womb. Tiger came onto the scene at such a young age and stayed in the spotlight because of his uncanny ability to play golf at such a ridiculously young age. After his putting competition against comedian Bob Hope, after turning three Tiger went on to shoot a 48 over a nine hole span on a local course. Now for people who are not a fan of golf, the average professional golfer would shoot around a 35 through a nine hole span. Then you have your average golfer who would happily take Tiger’s score anytime they go out to play nine holes. So for him to be doing something of this nature at that age is more then remarkable. Listing his golfing accomplishments prior to attending college would take quite some time but the amazing thing is that it would not compare to the list he has piled up since turning pro and joining the PGA tour.…

The next factor is the length of the club shaft, the longer the club shaft then the farther away you will be standing form the ball. You can see how a general rule of how tall you are will dictate the length of club you will need to fit comfortably into your swing. A good example of this would be to not use junior clubs if you are 6 feet tall as you will be too close to the ball to hit it effectively.…

A continuous swing also helps in the timing of the stroke. The athlete should take the racket back about the same speed as the on-coming ball. The object is to always complete the back-swing at the moment the ball strikes the table. This means that the speed of the back-swing will vary with the speed of the on-coming ball.…
